Boot Camp Thread (Opening May 2nd)

I am Out

I have a few problems that make me doing this impossible for right now.

a.) I am playing baseball for two teams.

b.) got no rides to take anyone out

c.) No time

d.) I still have schooling and finals coming up in two weeks

e.) and some other problems

I do on the other hand plan on doing this either during the summer or fall. When I do I will most definately leave a journal for you guys to read.

Week 2 Day 3

I had 3 convos today, one with an old guy outside of a store, another with a new guy at a jiu-jitsu class and one with a salesperson at a mall. I also got 3 hi's from people when I went for a run and some eyecontact from people in the mall. I just forced myself to start talking to people, and although my convo skills are **** (I was nervous even when talking to a poor old man!), I'm pretty happy cuz talking to strangers is something I used to NEVER do. A month ago I could barely muster the courage to ask someone for ketchup in a restaurant, so I think I'm improving.

Week 2, Day 1

horserotorvator good job for doing something you would of never done a month ago! Stay with bootcamp and in another month you'll be saying "Wow a month ago i would of barely mustered the courage to talk to a chick let alone ask for her number"


as for me today was pretty busy, but didn't get as many conversations as i wanted. The total for today is 1. I made a good deal of eye contact and got 12 hi's in on HB's but tomorrow i'm putting myself through hard boot camp practice!

Week 1 Day 9
Today was a better day as far as eye contact.. i got some extra practice when i went to the beach after skool... which was fun. I decided to leave when i spotted a shark 3 feet from me (literally).
I need to change my nods to smiles and hi's tho.
And also...... im still forgetting to keep my concentration.

Hey you guys. I just joined the site, but I want to take part in boot camp too.

I assume we're just wrapping up week one? When does it officially end and week 2 start?

I guess I'll do week 1 and 2 at the same time, i'll make lots of conversation and smile and hi a lot. I already started the conversation bit, started talking to someone who was going to be taking the LSAT in June as well. made a new friend

Week 2, Day 2

[look]aRhino, week 2 has already started, but many people are still wrapping up week one. Don't feel rushed to catch up just move at your own pace and aim to meet your quota in 7 days. I recommend doing week 1 and week 2 seperate so it won't be so much on you...but hey feel free to do them both at the sametime and prove me wrong!


As for me, today started bad but ended rather good. I went to campus to start some conversations with hb's and choked for a good hour and a half!!! (that was fustrating since i did about 30 approaches in 2 weeks about 3 months ago!) so i take so long to start that i was parked in a place where i wasn't supposed to be parked and got a ticket...so i thought (but i read it completley later and saw it was just a warning phew!)


Conversations for the day

1. Hb6 i finally stopped choking and talked to her and it went fine..i was pretty rusty though and some what nervous

2. Hb 7.5... went good! i opened her and she pretty much took it over and even asked for my name and shook my hand (damn didn't see that coming)

3. Hb 8...she was damn cool and happened to be a communications major so she was all about talking...went great she was a cool chick and also asked for my name and shook my hand and said that she would definately see me around.(caught me off guard again!)

4. Hb6... kind of new her from highschool but i chatted with her some in the gym today.

Things went good today and i will continue tomorrow, but its important to remeber to stay in a good mood regardless of the outcomes of approaches because tomorrow could be the total opposite!

Mkay I got two today... One from a old lady at the bus stop, and one from a younger brother of a friend who goes a different school.... That brings my total to three.... Imma have to have a hell of a day tommorow to stay on track

Yea I'm only at four .

I'm really tryin, but in a middle school setting, it's hard to find people to talk to that you don't know. It's gonna be crunch time tomorrow, though I think my mom's making me go to my grampa's for the day.

I'll still stay with the boot camp if I don't finish the objectives for this week, because I have been in a DJ mindset this whole week and have been taking every chance I have to get a convo going with a stranger.

By the way, we haven't had many posts on this thread this week. Who's still in it?

Week 1 Day 10
About same as yesterday....
I went surfin yesterday and today. Boy oh boy... i was 3 feet from a ****in shark yesterday... it was a bit creepy. Thats when i decided to go home :O. Seemd like i was doin pretty well with the eye contact at the beach... not as well at school. I think some chick kept lookin at me while i was surfin, but she was with some guy, so oh well ;o.

Week 2, Day 3

Went on campus and had 3 conversation but they all got cut off short because of people going the other way or into buildings. First was with a Hb 7, second was Hb6, and 3rd was some woman....i'll add all those up and count them as 1 conversation cause they all lasted about a half a minute but one lasted a minute.


Went on later and had a conversation with a HB7 and it went pretty good...i was some what nervous but that'll go in time

last one i had with a HB8.5 and she was pretty closed towards me didn't really give me anything to work with...i tried though! oh well i'm still smiling

Week 2, Day 6

Tonight was NYSSMA, a musical event where all the high school students in the area come to play a prepared solo. I play the clarinet, sax, guitar, and piano, but my solo was on the clarinet. I got in one convo from a girl I didn't know there, and on the busride home I started a conversation with another girl and got a good kino going.

Week 2 Days 4 & 5

Day 4-

Didn't get to do much DJing. Spent most of the day studying and then went to a boxing class. I went for a walk later in the afternoon and held E/C with an HB 7 and said hi, but didn't go for a convo cuz I couldn't think of anything to say and basically just pussed out.

Day 5-
Horrible day. Woke up sore from yesterdays boxing (got my ass kicked sparring with the instructor ) and spent all my free time in front of a computer, then went to my grandma's place for dinner. Very pissed off at myself right now, which is good cuz I know I ****ed up today and need to try harder. I should start setting daily goals for myself so I can stay on track.

I'm going backpacking with my friends over the weekend so I doubt I'll get to do a lot of DJing in the mountains but I'll try and talk to any new people I can find.

Damn.. my confidence totally dropped.

Had a conversation with a HB6 today on campus....she was the only chick out on campus this afternoon i swear i looked everything on campus for one!


Went to a party tonight with my friend and took on the DD role heh

The party wasn't bad...i had a conversation with this guy i knew in middle school and i talked on and off with these chicks...i also got a bunch of on and off conversations going when i did my round around the party but nothing to serious.

No approaches today, but hung out with 3 chicks that i knew from highschool....went pretty good, but i'm not counting them as conversations though

I'm still here man, but I've been super busy. Nothing good at all.

I still practice holding myself properly and projecting the right mood, but i still feel intrusive holding too much EC, and I haven't had random convos for a bit.

I was at a Chapters today, and in my defense i didn't see many people, but still I sat and read a comic. Bleagh. I'll do better tomorrow.

Hey guys im still in just been busy going to graduations. Anyways i have my fifty his for week one done. As for week two i got about six convos over three minutes this week with people that i havent met. I have not met the time limit so i think i will repeat week two over.
