Planned Parenthood gives away FREE condoms. They protect not only against unwanted pregnancies but they are pretty handy at preventing crotch rot, too.

Condoms...a truly wonderful, miraculous invention.

Go get your own supply today!
They break quite often.

4) The pill does NOT protect against crotch rot or any variety. Use CONDOMS even if she is on the pill lest your willie get infected and fall off.

5) Any child born did NOT have a choice in anything. That child is ENTITLED to the financial support of BOTH the individuals responsible for making said child until child turns 18 and is able to support themselves.

6) Did I say USE CONDOMS?

Why on earth a man who doesn't want kids would NOT use condoms is just mind-boggling to me. Complaining after the fact does no good and doesn't get your ass off the hook. You still have to pay child support because by law, your child is your responsibility...whether you want to be responsible or not. You KNOW this everytime you unzip your fly...so WHY on earth would you NOT use condoms? Could someone please explain this? It makes NO sense, goes against all that is rational and logical and is just plain stupid.

Why do men who don't want children put themselves at risk of being fathers? If you wouldn't trust you credit card with someone then don't trust them to be on birth control.
i already said the condom has been used. The child shoudlnt be born if the man does not want it, and if it is, the man should have no responsiblity if he has clearly stated he does not want it

Abortion ARE legal
AND ADOPTION has been around FOREVER and its VERY EASY today, I do want kids in the future so i wont get a vasectomy, and i aitn a priest im not gonna abstain from sex.

Do you see how man is punished and woman is not.

Do you see the issue that this thread was started with.

If you HONESTLY believe the child's rights trump everyone elses, then you would believe the child doesnt deserve to be brought into a world by a single mother.

The law MUST CHANGE.
so then the child should not be born. its simple, IF YOU are TRUELY all about law, you should know the child actually has no rights until birth.

rawblood...the law will never change, and with good reason.

Child support is about the rights of the child...and the rights of children ALWAYS come before the rights of anyone else.

sure men should have choices and rights.
i have always said that.

i feel like if you get someone pregnant and you do not want that child, do everyone a favor and consult an attorney and see if its acceptable in the state you live in to sign your rights over to the mother for her to have sole legal custody.
after that, the mother can marry and have the child adopted by someone who wants to, and you wont have child support payments to pay.
some states will not allow you to sign the rights over until the mother marries someone who could easily replace you as a parent. my state , ky, is one of them.
you could possibly go to the girls parents and tell them how you feel and ask them to consider letting you sign your rights over to one of them, that way if something happens to her, her parents would be legal guardians of that child and not you.
most parents would pay for the paperwork to get you out of the picture if you arent willing to play your role in it.

that is not fair to say.
i understand where you are coming from however women are just as punished as men.

if my exhusband is behind on child support, he never goes to jail. they just let him catch it up in small payments.
so he can go 6 months without paying a dime, then just add 20 extra a month to catch up.
for 6 months, i am late on the bills because he isnt paying his share for our childrens support. i get the late notices, i get letters saying pay this plus a late fee by this date or this is disconnected.
he doesnt get those.
i have the kids yelling at me because they want things i cant afford. they dont call and yell at him.
i get punished when he doesnt feel like paying or he gets in a bind .
i dont make it a point to go around crying about it , however it just isnt fair to say only men get punished.

That's why child support doesn't begin until after the child is born.

With that being said...I'm putting you on ignore. You are being emotional and I prefer logical debates.

actually a child does have rights before it is born.

if a drunk driver crashes into another car and kills a pregnant woman , he will be held accountable on two counts. the mother and the child.

I propose 2 things:

1. Do not obligate the father legally to support a child
2. Do not have the gov't intervene in supporting a child

Discuss
the hard part with this is that alot of single mothers can not afford all the bills that come with giving birth and rely on medicaid. now if you are on medicade the government does intervene.
they forced me to go to court and have a dna test with my youngest child. the father has never been a part of her life.
my insurance from work paid 80 % of her birth and the medicaid paid 20%.
now they are forcing him to pay child support that he doesnt want to , for a child he cares nothing about, and i have to take him to court after i get married to ask him to sign his rights over so we can get on with our lives.

i wish i had lied and told them i had some one night stand with a dude at a bar whose name could have been john just to go back in time so i would not have to have put my child thru a dna test with a man who does not want anything to do with her.

True...but it doesn't have right to financial support until it's born.

Too bad...I will always side with the one who isn't gung ho to murder a baby.
So then why do both need to pay for a baby they dont want, obviously both wanted the sex.

It doesn't count here in Vermont that I'm aware of. It probably does if the parents are married and the man has insurance.

I was talking about actual child support, though.

in my case, the commonwealth of ky reserved the right to go back for all previous medical bills that the state helped to pay ( the pregnancy bills and labor and delivery ones)and for back support to the time that she was born.
from what i understand , they just started the support the day i went to court for current support .
they are going to make a court date that i dont have to be present for for all the previous medical bills that will be garnished from his check and sent straight to the agency that wants to recover it.

i think since they left it reserved for the back support, if i want it , i am suppose to obtain an attorney and go back to court to have the judge decide on it . i havent even looked into it at all because i honestly didnt want to go to court in the first place.

most of the fathers that live in the apartment complex i manage (section 8) are actually paying the state lots of money for those medical bills . they go as far as to quit working to try to get out of it. get under the table jobs. its nuts.

From the men side of things, there are many aspects to the law which are not fair.

If both parents are responsible why the onus is always handed to the woman to take care of the child? Its a given that as soon as she gives birth to the little basterd she keeps it!

Ever hear men winning a custody battle? hardly ,unless he can prove she is really fvcked up on drugs or mentally ill. Other wise its her baby to keep. She automatically wins the custody battle so where is the equality here???

Reason I am mentioning is because when a man pays for the child support he doesn't pay the money directly to the child but rather to his mother. That money should help cover the child's basic needs such as food, clothing and shelter. But does the child gets all the money?? NO! the mother uses that money for her own life as well. In essence he is forced to pay for the two of them especially if the mother has a low paying job.

The richer the man the more the court is going to make him pay. No woman is ever held accountable for every cent she has spend on the child. I am not saying that single mothers spend their alimony on themselves but there are some real gold b1tches out there that get the man "drunk" and fvcks or rapes him if you will and then he becomes their rich suggar daddy for the next 18 years. Its like a business venture to them. No men can ever prove in court that he was too drunk to resist a naked woman climbing on top of him while he can barley keep conscious. How can he remember to put the condom on if the woman has plotted to have a baby and thus didn't care herself for protection either? Its funny if the situation was reverse and the woman claim she was drunk while they had sex then the man can be be found guilty of rape.

How can you prove in court that you as a man was raped if you are the one with the sexual organ that does the penetrating and is always viewed in lesser regards due to his stronger sex drive??You can't!!

dj damage,
there are alot of father here in the town i live in that have 50/50 custody with no support exchanged
and there are alot that have custody and the mother is paying support.
i think more judges are seeing that some mothers should not be the custodial parent and that some are equally fit and should both have equal rights to raise the children.
one guy who lives in my apartments, paul , filed as soon as his son was born and actually got 50/50 custody and was able to take that child to his own home for 3 and 1/2 days when the child was 3 months old.
i think its remarkable to see that happen for a man who honestly wants to be a part of his childs life.

I cant tell you how to raise your kids, but they shouldn;t dare yell at you, and hey no one prevented you from giving up for adoption. :)
