You won't get more chicks who aren't gold digging hoes with the luxury cars than with the Toyota. But you won't get more chicks who know anything about cars, either. And if you even CONSIDER buying a BMW with an automatic transmission (aside from a 7 series), then you're just a small ****ed fool.

Good freaking grief. I hate car posers. I can't even believe someone who claims to be over 30 years old makes a string of posts this crappy. I'm 20 for pete's sake and I have to post this to you. I guess working at a car dealership is good for one thing.
Go jerk off to bmw.com or something. Shiiiiit.

The guy's thinking about buying a "cool" car. Big ****ing deal. Are you a professional racer? What ****ing business do you have driving some showoff car? And who the hell really wants to do all that shifting anyways? **** that ****.

Metal, the only thing really that makes a BMW, Merc, Audi is prestige. They usually have nice interiors and sometimes look good. But if you intend on keeping one for more than a couple years, I hear they are expensive with all the repairs. And hey, you'll look real good to your date when you're stuck on the side of the highway with your messed up fancy car. I didn't realize how many problems BMW's had until I looked online - there are numerous websites complaining about those cars. And Mercedes - their quality problems are legendary! When I looked at some BMW's, they all had automatic transmissions (rare to find a manual i've been told) so all I can say is my friends 5 speed Toyota would probably accelerate about as fast.
Generally, I think RedPill sums it up pretty well.

And from Android:
You obviously do not know too much about cars. ANY car, aside from Yugos and Ford SUVs, will be reliable as long as you take care of them and replace what you need to replace before it becomes a problem, and don't be an idiot. If you take care of your car, it will take care of you.

These idiots who had mass problems with their German luxury cars either didn't take care of them, or bought neglected ones without taking care to look at the problems they had. They deserved the problems.

Of all the reviews I read, most had to replace one or two things on their Bimmers in a few years. My ex stepdad abused an old Audi like mad, even towing trailers for distances, and the thing still kept running. And he was terrible at taking care of cars.

If you want them to be cheaper to repair, find a good mechanic or learn to work on them yourself.

And don't try to pull that on me about prestige being the only thing that differentiates a BMW from a Toyota. You need to drive the cars to understand, because horsepower figures and exterior design don't tell you how well a car will drive.

And why the hell did you even bother typing all this when YOU said you were considering an Audi?

Don't get jealous just because I actually have a little bit of knowledge on cars, here. Cars are for driving, first and foremost. BMWs are not called the "ultimate driving machine" for no reason. As for stickshift, shifting is second nature once you practice for a day or two, giving you ultimate control of the driving experience. Plus, they're just faster, torquier, and get better gas mileage. So buying the ultimate driving machine with an automatic is counterproductive. I have more business driving a BMW than any poser who only uses it for the brand name appeal.

Why don't you go test drive some cars before you act like you know anything?

Android sums it up pretty nicely. And if I spend more to buy a
cool car, will it matter? That's been my basic question, and so far it doesn't seem like it would matter much. That's all I'm asking !
My last girlfriend liked cooler cars and motorcycles too, but she left me for a guy that drives an old Blazer !

get what you want man. I don't see the point of this post. Mustang is a good car, finally built on a new, competitive platform. High on the insurance though. Audi, higher on the insurance, good car though. Camry is probably your best bet, especially if you're young and still establishing yourself. The percentage of chics out there who will dig you cause of your car is too low to be of any significance. Anyways, how often are you gonna pick up chics while youre in your car? Not often. Before my current car, I had a 1994 Pontiac Grand Am that was purple. I had no shame hollerin at chics in nicer cars, and neither did my friends. Before that, I had a 1990 Nissan 240SX, which was the best car I ever owned, and got me into SCCA auto cross racing. The thing had paint peeling off, was loud as hell, uncomfortable for more than 1 passanger, and could not go faster than 30mph in a heavy downpour. Yet I loved it, and just the fact I enjoyed it gave me more confidence, even though it didn't look very nice. Its all in what makes you happy.

PS
Big Eezee
-I agree, it sucks to see someone who doesn't know the difference between and apex and throttle steering driving an M3, but BMW intended those cars for the wealthier folks anyway. I disagree with your poo-mobile mustang comment though..I see experienced SCCA drivers in V6 mustangs tearing up wannabe hotshots in Supras and WRX's all the time.

This topic has been beaten to death - get whatever car you want; this forum isn't a spot for "OOO WILL MY TOYOTA TERCEL GET ME MORE BOOTY THAN A KIA RIO?". Thanks.
