I don't give a damn about what your presumtions are, you think its okay to be physically violent in a relationship? If I disagree, I'm a lesbian.

How in the f*cking hell does advocating anti-violence in a relationship make a girl a lesbian?

And i also am waiting for someone to explain to me how Gio's statement about the mom deserving respect from the husband is feminist.

I don't know anything about this one

Yeah, that was me who stated that. The way it was displayed, he wasn't referring to "respect". He was making a bad example of man wanting his woman to cook using the "exteme" example. Only feminist use examples like that to describe men behavior when he want something from his women.

Actually, Gio said:

If the day ever came when my father said "Cook me a steak now, subservient woman! Submit to me because I am man, the ruler of this abode!" it would be the last day my mom would ever cook him ANYTHING.

Then you (Eyecandie) said:
No offense but you sounding like a feminist with that statement

Gio gave a very real example of how you "REAL DJs" (what a misnomer) expect things to work, and said that it just wouldn't happen in his family circumstances. There's nothing remotely feminist in his statement.

Yet again, you are resorting to name calling and leaving your logic back at the cave[1].

Why do you persist with this archaic view of society? Is this yet another social problem which we can lay at the feet of organised religion? (Christianity/Judaism in this case, right? From what I know of the Old Testament, it seems to be)

Oscar.

1. At least when I name call, I have a valid argument to back it up.

This is a very silly discussion. Gio is obviously the master of the overstatement. I can't imagine any rational person making such a silly statement. Lets not debate our own logic. No one rational would ever speak to someone they care about in such a dehumanizing way. If a woman did actually subject herself to that kind of abuse she has issues. It helps to narrow the debate down to rational semi-normal people. Instead of basing an argument on the absolute worst case scenario, base it on the normal more common situation. To even raise such a silly point only skews the argument.

Oscar most DJ's are very rational. I cant imagine a rational personal speaking to anyone like that. Gio's statement is femininst because it is based on an impossible, illogical, irrational example. Feminists always use that silly tactic. It is an ad hominem attack on men. Feminists can never win an argument based on facts so they always resort to telling good, made up stories.

There is nothing wrong with having clearly defined roles in a relationship. If a man wants a woman to cook he should state that up front. If she doesnt want to cook she should state that up front. Any woman who doesn't want to cook wont be my woman.

My mother works a full time job and yes she cooks too. She cooks once (sometimes twice) a week for the entire week. There are also other jobs, usually related to the house, that she does. My father cleans the bathrooms, cares for the house, yard, cars etc. The roles are clearly defined. If my mother's car were to break down, she wouldnt call a tow truck she would call my dad. He would drop whatever he was doing and get there ASAP. Im not married and dont live with anyone but I would have a similar situatiion, cause it simply works. I won't marry a woman who doesnt cook.

Never try to read a woman's mind. It is a scary place. Ignore her confusing signals and mixed messages. Assume she is interested in you and act accordingly.

This whole thread has been "dominated" by guys talking about how there is not and should not be equality between the sexes and how women should be "submissive" and live only to make their men happy. Look it up. I wish I was simply being the master of overstatement, but I practically quoted some of the guys on this thread.

And nobody is asking you to. There is a difference between saying "I want a woman who will cook for me, and I don't want a woman who won't cook for me" (which I believe the original poster meant when he posted this thread) and "Women should be submissive and do whatever the hell men tell them to do because no matter how much people want to say it, they aren't equal to men."

No, I think because based on the way you word your posts you're bitter towards men in general and that makes you gay. As for being violent, I just found it funny the way you worded that post because you once again sound like a man hater on it. Maybe you should be more careful in the way you word your sentences, because "If a man laid a finger on me I'd break his ribs, or I have connections who would do it for me " sounds to me like even a guy that brushed up against you on the subway would be liable for a beating.

I dont' understand why anyone would want to assign roles to anyone when those roles dictate how their life will be controlled.
If you subscribe to a "Women Cook" philosphy you're only dis-empowering yourself.

It's fine to expect a woman to take a share of the dutys of providing for the family but by assigning rigid roles, whether stereotypical or not you create too much dependance on the other party.

No lay your finger means beat me up. I don't hate all men, I hate you and am a controversial person. So if it pisses you off, I'm glad.

You saying this because we are going for WHAT WE WANT? Geeesh!

Come on man, the world doesn't evolve around Giovanni thoughts of what a man want from his woman. I can tell you don't base anything you say on logical reasoning but yet you are a law student(which it becomes very clear why you have an opinion about everything). Women want MEN who know WHAT they WANT in a woman not someone who they can control by saying that if he wants her then he has to subject to WHAT she WANTS.

Reality backs this up. Quit taking what people say to the next universe. It's like you base all your information from an emotional standpoint.

Dumbass! :)

For future reference, it's Mr. Wilde to you.

I think your opinions are archaic throwbacks to an unadaptable time. Soceity evolves continously, and some people just get left behind, or choose to do so.

Not getting mad (well, maybe a little last night) :)

Oscar.

Thank you, I'll take it as a compliment. Mr. Meyer(bologna):)

My "opinions" goes along with "reality(nature)", because there's nothing new under the sun. Things evolve but not "nature". It stays the same.

Not getting mad (well, maybe a little last night) :)

Oscar.

At least you acknowledge it:)

MEN ARE THE HUNTERS WOMEN ARE THE GATHERERS AND WOMEN COOK.
Ahem. I believe I can purchase my steak and chicken breasts in the same aisle of the grocery store, just like any big strong man.

What I think is that you are fighting against the very thing that you really want in the end. Really you don't want to dominate a man....not a real man because it would be degrading to him and boring to you ultimately. What you are searching for is a man you can't dominate, a strong man that will educate you in how to please him and make him proud to be with you.

You, like a lot of young women are confused as to what you should be doing with a man. You should be supporting and helping him suceed in life, you see that is the natural way of things not turning him into some kind of she-male by kick boxing him to submission. You should be taking cooking classes!!

Try to learn what pleases a man so that he is happy and go out and slay the dragons of life for you and your children. That will make him and you truly happy
I've never said anything about dominating a man. I never will. When I date someone, I'm an equal with them. I'm not fighting against strong men. I'm fighting against men who think that they can insult and manipulate women to make them fall in lust or love with them.

If my man isn't proud to be with me, (I'm not even arguing about the whole "I need educating as to how to please a man" crap) then I'm quite fine cutting him loose.

I want an equal partner. Not a cave man.

Shemale kickboxer hmm? Well, I suppose that's a natural reaction by a person threatened by someone who's worked very hard to better herself. I don't take kickboxing to beat up men, I'm sorry to inform you. I do it because I enjoy being in shape, it's a psychological outlet for stress, I have many friends at the dojo, and it's kick-@ss. Period.

I don't need a man to slay dragons. And not every woman wants children.

The only thing I'll do to please a man is be myself, upfront, honest, and loyal. Sorry if that's too radical for you. *shrug*

And Kevin00?

I am currently employed as a professional writer and voicer in a major market radio station chain.

I have not, as of yet, realized my dream of becoming a video store clerk.

An educated bum is still preferrable to an ignorant bum in my books.
