I agree that people get more fixes indoors. I could see this as far back as my freshman year of college in 2001-02. There was a greater contingent using the high speed internet in the dorms to instant message on AOL Instant Messanger (a pre-cursor to texting) or watch internet porn.

People got more exercise in the 1980s vs 2010s. Also, in the 1980s, there was no way to show off your gifts unless you saw other people in person. You could take pictures then, have them developed, and then show a photo album to some people in person or relatives at a future dates. That whole effort would take weeks to months. Since the mid to late 2000s, that process has changed into minutes from weeks-months.

Tusk and Troy don’t have game though. They suck and can’t attract high caliber women in London. Both those guys have low social status (work as youtube pickup artists, probably earn much less than most established guys their age) and weird/thirsty mannerisms when interacting with women, so they actually underperform relative to what you’d expect.
