How was your prom? What was it like?

I don't recall many times a girl has said "don't worry I can pay for myself." However, if that happened to me, I would say "cool, you can buy me dinner next week" or something like that.

Makes perfect sense to me. But, supposing another time comes where I don't return one of her calls (this is bound to happen) and she complains....should I bring this up, saying that she doesn't always return my calls?
