I can get lots done with the music, but not the videos/podcasts in the background. I burned nearly a whole day last week with the videos.
I end up getting annoyed with my work and then just watching the video lol.
Kind of in a vulnerable spot right now and need some help with my finances.
I previously had put myself into a really bad financial spot. Running up credit card debt, buying a bunch of stuff that I couldn't afford. I eventually realized how dumb this was, and put together a plan to start...
Oh shoot, I just opened up my Snapchat and there's one more. Another college peer engaged.
Additionally, a high school classmate got engaged to her BF. This is truly the age.
One really important thing that I failed to mention is that it's really important that I'm working effectively and not just working hard. As in, focused work.
I was having a bit of trouble the last couple of days focusing, and that set me back. I had to take a weekend day to get back on track...
I'm not at this point yet.. I just need more time and experience coding but I'm sure I'll get to that point eventually.
I agree with all of your statements. I think that once I get to the point you're at, that's when OverEmployed becomes a real possibility.
I could do it before then, but that...
I have some more updates that are relevant to this thread.
Two more of my collegiate peers announced pregnancies. Not married, but they had kids and then they are getting married.
The more notable story is with a female coworker that I used to do gigs with. She was married for four years, and...
How have you felt about recharging your vehicle?
I had some interest in an electric one. But, the main turnoff for me was that charging stations aren't common enough for me, when there's a gas station on every corner.
If/when I leave my current job, I aim to work a non government/DOD job. That way, I could give Overemployed a try and increase my salary further.
At the moment, I think I need to stay put. I’m having a bit of trouble beating that $120K with 2 YOE.
I'm thinking that for me at least.. these are the statements that I resonate with. @SW15 you'll have to remind me but you were the one who was saying that a job should be a tool to generate the lifestyle that you want right? Can't quite remember who I heard that from. @BPH I totally agree that...
I think that you could argue by the time you add up the cost of all those Ubers, Instacarts/Walmart+ orders(because sometimes you need stuff that isn't near your local grocery), and any public transit, that it would be equal to or greater than the cost of a car note, even from one of those...
Oh, that was a while back, you were talking about how money is no good if you don’t have time to use it.
Anything that can make money really.. I’d have to do some more research on other paths but the ones I have are in my field(programming)
I hear management is a lot of work too, maybe @BackInTheGame78 can speak on that, I remember him making a post on it.
Im wondering if much can be done. Probably best to not look for magic bullets. It can be argued that you can still have time for yourself doing 60-70 hours as long as your time...
