But a man with a handsome face with muscles; he will draw more interest.

Just like a woman with a cute face is one thing.

But a woman with a cute face, phat ass, big titties...a different world.
Totally.
If you are happily married and doing the right thing in these streets...what the hell are you doing on this forum?
That’s a fair question.

Though I’m married, I still like discussing sexual dynamics. It’s simply an area of interest.

I’m also a reformed incel, a self-defeating mentalcel specifically. My history is as follows: incel—> a few girlfriends —> incel—> manwhoring —> married.

I am soon to be 42 years old. Am I too old to get built? Lets say I decide to not get jacked but I do pushups, dumbbell curls for biceps and do some planks/situps. If I go for a more cut look. Will doing that be enough to get attention and boost my confidence a little?
You can still add considerable size, but not with what you mentioned.

“Going for a more cut look” will not alter your body much as a goal without considerable muscle mass. You’ll simply be a leaner version of yourself. And perhaps some women will like that. But you will not get noticed while clothed. To get considerably noticed, you need to have enough muscle mass that it’s evident while wearing form fitting pants and shirts. Even a muscular man can be noticed in a baggy shirt because of how it falls on his body.

Fair enough.

The kind of evolution that would make Charles Darwin proud.

I agree 100.

Someone just said some men will be able to pull and do fine without a good body. Just like some men can pull while being broke, while living off women or even from jail .

All less than favorable circumstances. Still you are stealing from yourself, from your own true potential. A man who pull without money, should be eager to knkw what's it like to do it with money. A man without muscles should try game WITH a ripped physique.

The funny thing is that hitting the gym is the very first thing we'll have to do without getting any rewards upfront. But if you manage to hit the gym religiously, keep going , the next time when you're taking your shirt off in front of a woman ...it WILL make all the difference .

The gym is mandatory. Just like money and game.

Two things:

If you have affluence, women will come to you, but for what you can provide, not for who you are. When women like me, they are into me, not into what I can financially provide because I don't lavish women with luxury.

While I'm a former bouncer who can fill a doorway, I don't have a ripped physique. I'm a martial artist, but never trained to get muscular, so I can be considered 'formidable', but I don't care about a little body fat.

Funny story:
I met a trim fit girl and one of her first questions was "do you go to the gym?" and she seemed strangely intense about that. Now, I know many guys who would say something like 'yes, I work out' or 'not as often as I'd like to, but...'.
I'm not going to lie about that. I dislike working out, so my exercise is mostly riding my bicycle and walking around. As a result, I don't look like an athlete, but I'm in decent shape.
"Do I look like I go to the gym?" I said with a grin. "My type of exercise is aimed more at stamina than sculpting my buddha body."
"You mean like cardio?"
"I mean like prolonged sex sessions."
That got her interest. When we got to her house, I found a photo of an 'Adonis', who turned out to be the reason for her asking me if I went to the gym. The guy was an ex and she confessed to me that she had been shallow enough to get aroused just from looking at his body. However, the guy was a true 'gym rat' and spent most of his free time working out. He'd go to work, come home for a protein shake (very careful about what he'd put in his body) and to pick up his gear, go to the gym to work out for a couple of hours and when he came home he went to bed early (or he 'would get bags under his eyes'). Sex was more about him than her and very infrequent, because his work-out schedule was more important to him.
In the end she split up with him because he was too obsessed with maintaining his physique.
She had a high sex drive and even though we didn't live together we'd have sex 6-7 times a week and she enjoyed that she could make me food or have an occasional snack without counting calories.

My conclusion is that it's good to exercise to be healthy and have strength and stamina, but don't obsess over having a sculpted body unless it's a crucial factor in your career (athlete, (porn) actor, et cetera). Don't do it to impress the ladies, the ROI stinks. I'd rather spend the hours in bed than in the gym.

Depends what type of women you're looking for, but I'd say:
Exercise is mandatory, because without exercise you become unhealthy.
If you need money to draw a woman, you're likely to end up with a gold digger who will leave you when the money runs out.
And game... well, it's a good thing to understand sexual dynamics and have the confidence to put yourself out there.

I've been lifting and running since college. Even when I went through unhealthy phases of eating (read: got fat) it at least kept me with some semblance of a normal to attractive body. It's just become habit for me though, I don't need motivation, I just go and it's kind of a sanctuary for me. In fact I have to be careful not to let my thoughts drift or I forget what set I'm on. Girls sometimes smile and talk to me but I'm not even dialed in to that when I'm there, it's me time.

Am in my late 40s now and the gym has kept me young and spry.

So you're working out to stay healthy, not to 'build a muscular physique for the babes'.

Like I said, Exercise is good. And if you enjoy working out, by all means keep working out. Just regular exercise will set you apart from the masses who zonk out for the television with a bag of Cheetos.

Decent shape is more than enough to impress women with your physique. If you happen to have a muscular body, great, but don't invest too much time sculpting your physique if you're doing it to impress the ladies, because it's not as important as just being a healthy man.

100%. Anything I do is for me first. If women like it that's great. I just like the way I feel and look better. I respect guys who bodybuild if it's their passion of course. The thing is women will respect a guy who has a passion or hobbies and they can vary. BUT it's fair to say that exercise affects the "looks" component of attraction so it's double edged. At the same time ripped dudes still need to learn social skills and how to talk to women.

There has to be balance. Not many people can skate by on looks alone.

I agree with the premise of this topic that exercise is good, but I think men have to find the exercise they like most and do it for their own pleasure. I don't like 'reps', so I prefer to do 'kata', because repetitive action bores the sh1t out of me. Just like I prefer to ride my bicycle around town instead of riding a static bike in a gym.

Venom which one of yas is lying to me? You said it will help but Manure Spherian is disagreeing.
Consider the picture below..

Bruce Lee standing next to Bolo Yeung.

One has a lean muscular physique, and the other has a bulky muscular physique.

Of the two, which one do you think will fill out a shirt more?

Bolo Yueng.

In my experience, my bulky frame is what gets me the ACC (Appearance, Confidence, Compliments).

Since that is what's been working for me, I will only recommend what's been proven to work for me.

However, you can't go wrong with the lean muscular look either.

Outside of his martial arts prowest, Bruce Lee has been known to be the prototype for the lean, muscular look.

He was reowned for his emphasis on health, fitness, and diet.

But for what gets me the ICC, I'm going with the Bolo Yueng look.

So, I recommend going for bulk.

But I am not gonna sh!t on the guy going for the lean/ripped look because if you approach a woman with a Bruce Lee physique wearing a wife beater tank top, I'm sure she will find you attractive.

Right. Hence I explained that an aggressive cut is unwise for a staring goal. One can bulk while being leanish and then aggressively cut.

The difference between lean and muscular is often times the amount of food one eats. It takes energy to build muscle and unless you are providing it to the body regularly while working out you are going to end up lean.

Venom do you feel strongly that I will gain more confidence and women will notice me a little more if I do pushups, dumbbell curls for biceps and do some planks/situps.
Not really. Those are not what someone who is interested in building muscle would ever do. At least not as their entire workout. Maybe as minor parts of a workout.

Planks are great but they aren't going to really build muscle themselves.

Pushups are OK but again, you are limited by your own bodyweight which puts a cap on the amount of muscle you can build. You are also putting yourself at risk for shoulder injuries because you'll need to do very high rep counts for it to make any real difference. And the shoulder is the one place on the body you should try to protect from injury at all costs or you will be sorry.

DB Curls are meh...do chin ups(weighted preferably)for biceps, it's the best bicep exercise there is.

What style(s)?
In martial arts? Savate; Canne; Yoshinkan aikijutsu and Tenshin Shōden Katori Shintō-ryū (天真正伝香取神道流) bujutsu.
Before that I trained in CQC, but that's not a martial art.

I feel strongly that building bulk (muscle mass) is superior over lean muscle toning.

If you do it right and dependent upon the shirt you wear, you will get noticed.

But not as much as bulking.

Now take that answer and apply it to whatever route you want to take.

Earlier, a delivery driver that I never seen before made a delivery to my store.

First thing he asked me was; how much do I bench press.

That was followed by a 15 minute conversation on weightlifting.

Too many examples of this.

My advice; go for bulk for maximum results.

I kinda agree.

The man whose out of the game will hardly ever be a man with game money and muscles. One could argue that the man who is successful due to these factors will embrace and thus nurture these things where the unsuccessful man wont have the motivation to get busy. Its a chicken /egg dilemma.

Generally most men will benefit from these things. If you're strong and confident enough to roll without these things you are an outlier.

If any man feels stuck, but yet wants to play the game with better results, gym, money and game is his way to go.
