I agree with the title ofthis thread. Apps should be banned or regulated. Ten years ago it was impossible to forsee how they'd change dating as a whole.
If you watch porn( i know YOU dont lol) tou get these adds. Click on one and you go to a (fake ofcourse) dating /hookup site (that is now legally obligated to mention) that the profles are fake. Not too long ago this wasn't clear and any naive man could believe he was talking to a model tier woman. I say this because its known that OLD apps did the same, and the smaller ones probably still do this to get more users.
I also say this because it sounds laughable to say that apps must be regulated ,but it happened before as my example shows.
I think apps should give clearity about their algorithms, their (apparently) elo score system, amount of users and male female ratio, how and why they will or wont show you to this or that person and many more things . This way a consumer can decide if and which app suites him best.
Dating is a basic necessity, and OLD apps are actually dominating many people's lives and minds.
Eventually even from a broader pov it hurts society when average hard working men cant reproduce. I can imagine ifthis seeps through to more traditional nations like Islamic ones, that they'll lose their shyte and start implementing all kinds of laws to ensure enough children are being born.
From that regard dating apps have taken on a HUGE responsibility. They've estranged cold approach actually. Tons of men believe that cold approach is pointless because a woman will simply go on OLD to hook up. Before OLD we'd only be talking about C approach because there was no other way to get women.
Is it really true that so many young men and women are not having sex.
Im dubious about this.
In the past more men and women were in ltrs with the odd hookup. Nowadays young ppl have more hookup partners vs ltrs compared to the past.
For sure the market has moved more towards hookups so that will benefit certain types of men (and women) compared to the past with so there will be men getting less sex than in the past if they are not as good or willing to engage in hookups.
But i find it contradictory to say young ppl are not having as much sex as going by my observations there is lots of hookups going on so how can that be.
As I said before; 20% of people have tons of sex..the other 80% want that 20% as well, and rather holdout, or their being forced to hold out. On top of that a man who doesn't get sex won't necessarily brag about it but rather keep it to himself. A man who soley relies on prostitution might also keep it to himself .
20% of a bilion is still plenty of people.
