I wouldn't say that, women have always been formless, but did have not the power they do today.
I would say their power over men comes from the laws, movies, music, tv, socirty and the court of public opinion. From the time they are boys, men are consistently brainwashed to service decent looking young women at all costs. They have been told they are scarce, sex is of the upmost importance and men should behave properly and spend money to get it. When you have been brainwashed, you will act a fool to get the girl.
Notice this brainwashing is about young hot women who are childless. Men instinctively know how to act when the women is fat, menopausal, ugly, or older,
Like Hollywood says, to act in their movie, they ask ONE question: Is she “f*ckabke?“. Ruins the fatansy otherwise. But I’m going off on a tangent.
I would disagree with that,
The only way a man to counter is to focus on his goal. A man can’t bring himself down to a woman's level, run on emotions and not be logical, he would destroy himself.
You say that women have always been formless, and I disagree. It is men who historically gave them form, according to nature. In the natural order, women are the stormy ocean, and men are the rocky shoreline. The shoreline says to the ocean, “This far, and no farther”.
The shoreline defines and gives shape to the ocean. The ocean conforms to the shoreline. The drinking glass gives form to the water within. The water conforms to the glass.
Women, by nature, can only be given form by men. Historically, men were the rulers and disciplinarians. They were not afraid of women. Women were forced to conform to men’s rules and expectations. Men have become afraid of rejection, and women can no longer conform to their authority.
In keeping with the ocean analogy, when the rocky shore erodes, the ocean overruns it and dissipates thinner and thinner, losing its form and definition. Farther and farther it travels and dissipates, until it is so thin that it evaporates into nothingness.
Make no mistake… it is men who give women definition and form. Women are wired to conform to men, but what do we see today? Nothing but men conforming to women.
You say that a man can’t bring himself down to a woman’s level, presumably in the context of formlessness. The mistake that you make is in thinking that male formlessness is the same as female formlessness. The two are vastly different.
Male formlessness consists of maintaining a mysterious vibe, a certain reserve, a withholding of information, and a lack of reactiveness. Does a man answer every single question a woman asks? Then he is dropping the ball on formlessness. Does a man show all his cards to a woman and discuss every aspect of his life with her? Again he is dropping the ball.
A man’s formlessness is deliberate and by design. He constructs it. He leaves a woman in tension and suspense, the very place where she is happy and thrives.
