Personally, if I refer to a woman as a b!tch or a hoe on the forum its means nothing. Its humorous and I don't mean anything by it. I'm purposefully being extra and overly expressive. She's probably a nice lady. perhaps it's rap inspired... I listen to a lot of rap. Maybe it's because of my sense of humor - I find offensive things funny. As long as it's not said with harmful intent. Like the word can't be used for it's actual purpose - being mean. For example, if I call my close friend a phag, we'll both laugh. Because we both know it's not serious.
@LiveYourDream I see where you're coming from though. But just be aware it's probably not meant the way it's read at face value. It is probably in jest. It would be tough for me to read someone's journal and help them if they constantly used the N word to describe black people.
At the same token, a guy who is a guest lecturer for my class was dressed extremely well today. I just could not believe the swagger this man had... Like how did he match these seemingly impossible to match colors and speak so elegantly? This man was refined. This man was inspiring. And so I thought to myself... Am I refined? Am I as suave as this gentleman? I started looking up what it means to be refined. And one thing that I came across is that a refined man doesn't curse (excessively, addition mine). Maybe the occasional swear but not like a sailor. And I think that should apply here. So from now on... I'm gonna make an effort to exclude those words from my vocab. I think there's something so magnificent and alluring about someone who can tell intricate stories and capture you with their words without excessive swearing. I'm still me so I'm gonna use slang but I'm an educated feller, I gotsta speak like it.
Anyway shout-out to that guy he's so suave.
