According to your original post this discussion (and suggestion to her re FB) came up when she talked about getting married so that's the context of your ultimatum, not that you too will keep your FB girls, but that by her deleting hers, it may lead to marriage or more of a commitment from you or whatever it is she wants from you. You’re sending the msg that all she has to do is what you (not her) want her to do and then she will get what she wants from you.

Keep those options because this could turn into a headache for you and you have other stuff going on in your life to deal with I’m sure.

The idea. and this is purely just from my own personal perspective, is that a woman is going to REALISTICALLY play a very particular role in a man's life based on the type of woman she is, and that she will never be able to play a greater role than that.

If I were in @logicallefty 's shoes, I would perceive this woman as good for the many benefits of a relationship, but not the type to be capable providing the ideals of marriage. Therefor, she, nor he, should ever succumb to such a fantasy that anything greater than her current role as the girlfriend is realistic.

In other words, she plays a particular role he is content with and she needs to understand it will not evolve further. So it's not about changing her to become something. It is more about keeping her as is without her attempting to push beyond that value.

For example, this plate I have been seeing for nearly a year now, she is more than a FWB, but will never be a devoted GF or wife. This is not just by my choice but also by her own. We have been able to successfully maintain our sexual and emotional satisfaction with each other without complications of trying to evolve anything that we both know very well will never really work in the long run. She has over 2000 FB friends. Last night we went back and fourth and got it down to only two she didn't want to delete who met the criteria I was after. Today she found about five more, and said she is "in process of deleting them". So we may end up back down at two but I don't think we will get to zero. So two, fine, then I will keep two of my orbiters and the problem will be solved. It's pretty simple.
