Those who dis people for not "acting their age" are doing so for the same reason people who can't get laid to to asceticism, and run down sex as "immoral."

You go, 59 year-old college football player!

An update on our football player ... he got into his first game last week, a triple overtime win. I saw a story on national news. They showed him in practice and in the game. If they didn't tell me his age, in pads I would've thought he was a normal player. He was quick on his feet and he is seriously built, huge chest and arms.

Never say never. I'm sure the AFCs, the "oh grow up" and many women don't like him doing this. I applaud it.

The guy blocks on field goals. He's a novelty.

If that makes him happy, more power to him. But don't act like you're going to be playing in the NFL at 59.

Not once has he acted like he's going to be in the NFL. Good grief, there's always a "yeah, but ..." on this board. The guy was kicked off his team (at the same college) years ago and is making amends.

I've read a lot of stories on this: Not once did he mention the NFL. Where did you pull that out of?

Squirrels is generally very negative in all of his posts. It's a pattern I saw from him starting last year.

Nothing new for him.

I respect the man doing what he wants to do, but I'm not gonna run around this forum and play grab-ass with everyone because he managed to get his name on the roster of a who-cares Division III football team.

Maybe I just take athletics too seriously...but until I see this guy make some real hits, he's a novelty. Good for him. He qualified for the Special Olympics of football, and if that makes him happy, then more power to him.

But it's page 13 news. It doesn't mean "you're never too old". It doesn't mean sh!t. It means some guy's out there having a good time. Props to him. Moving on.

I'm negative all the time because you guys make a social revolution out of every little scrap of news or commentary that tumbles your way. I'm waiting for someone to bring the "Feminatrix" or the "Hor subculture" into this thread. :p

I'm sure the guy doesn't give a damn about who he "inspires".

It's an interesting story because of the AFC/wussy American mindset that life is over at age 26 and you better be getting fat and cranking out kids. And by 59, you sure as h-ll better not be playing college football. THAT's why it's a story ... and even if it's D3, if you've stood on the sidelines of a game, I highly doubt you'd want to be taking shots from the other team.

I worked in the sports industry for a long time, I take it seriously, too, probably more so than most, and I know a ton of guys in college coaching, mostly at the high D-I basketball and football level. Not bragging, but I know what I'm talking about here. What he's doing is tough, even if it is page 13 material.

I posted it here because it shows what one can do if they challenge themselves, ignore American/pussified society, and do what they want to do. It's more about doing what you want to do than anything statistical. I'm sure the guy doesn't care who he inspires either, he did it to solve something that was troubling in HIS life. I used at as a f--king example, sheesh, can't you see that. This is a message board used for a variety of topics to discus.

Real surprised you don't understand that. Loveshack.com awaits you.

I'm sorry, dude. Honestly...I have just been wigging the hell out these last couple of days...like literally losing my mind. What keeps me from blowing my own brains out, I dunno sometimes. No, I'm not about to, but sometimes it baffles me why not. :p

I guess I project that hopelessness onto other people and situations sometimes. I apologize.

Thanks for the reply Squirrels, I just like this story because each and every day the dumb American society sets limits on our ages and abilities. Few stories like this come up. Thanks again.

Don't always be the one putting yourself out for her. Don't always be the one putting all the effort and work into the relationship. Let her, and expect her, to treat you as well as you treat her, and to improve the quality of your life.

I wish that I knew THAT 20 years ago.
I got a Salsa class with Anya tonight - the 25 year old Ruskie hottie,
She is all eye contact and touchy on my chest and biceps - she gets in my personal space as often as she can.

Hey, call Security !!!

Security? Do you need help? Maybe you better switch from hot salsa to cool, boring waltzes!:nono:

As for the 59 year old guy playing college ball...he's got my admiration! He may be on page 13 but HE'S IN THE DAMN NEWSPAPER! How many other guys on this site are in the paper for playing college ball...yeah, that's what I thought.:p

When I was in high school a friend of mine cracked two bones in his neck during practice. (He's fine now) but it ended his career at 17. He never went back and I know it killed a piece of his heart.

I know if Scott decided to do this at 45, his wife and two kids would be at every single game screaming their heads off, cheering him on.

Dude decides to go back to college and play football at age 59 ... I love it, breaking stereotypes, doing what society doesn't want him to do. His wife -- of course -- says, "I feel like I'm married to Peter Pan." Sheesh, can't American women just be supportive? This is cool ... guy still runs a 5.0 40-yard dash and is a big time weightlifter/strength coach.

I'm sure he'll get blasted here. I posted a story from a couple years ago about a divorced guy at 53 who decided to go back to college. He joined a frat, partied, dated young girls, had a great time ... he got slammed on the main message board by the puritans for not "growing up" and "being juvenile" and "having no life." Sometimes I think this should be named AFC.com.

I like people who don't listen to what AFC society tells them to do.
So say's the guy who say's "you shouldn't dress/look a certain way once you reach a certain age". WestCoaster, you reek with hypocrisy, do you realize that?

I'm not hypocritical. I don't think 30 year olds should wear low rider jeans, tilted baseball caps, flash gang signals and say "yo." It's just stupid. I also don't think 30-year old women should dress like high school kids. How is that being hypocritical.

Let me guess: You don't work and never have worked in business, have you?

??? I don't get what you're attempting to get at...but I'll answer your question anyhow. I work in Real Estate occasionally for some extra gravy money, I've worked for a stock brokerage firm, and I've worked in a bank.

I have to say it is a bit hypocritical to criticize the way a person dresses, but applaud another person's actions that go against convention.

We are a few years past the time when you had to "change your uniform" as you reached each new decade in your life.

I used to think that way too. Even a few years ago. But then I realized that having that mindset is simply another byproduct of conditioning.

I'll be 36 in about a week. Should I not wear a Structure tshirt and an American Eagle cap turned backwards?

I rolled out wearing that combo one night when the 21 yr old fashion student was staying with me, and she ate it up.

I agree.....there comes a point when you just can't pull it off. But it has more to do with attitude than age.

Anya was all smiles and more touchy. I am 007 cool and smirking at her, teasing her for wearing some tiny black dress that barely covered her pvssy and her a$$.
She says , "teach me to cha cha, jophil "
Me (as corny as can be ) ." Anya, I got to tell you that I will only dance with you if you get soft , Your arms are tense. Let ME lead you."
I pull her in ,put my arms around her and whisper in her right ear . " I need control of your body ." Two firm perkies press up against my chest.
SHe smiles....we dance and she giggles. I play Professor Higgins to her Elisa Dolittle..
SHe does some dumb move. I frown and say,' You got to let me lead you. Men lead woman. Me Tarzan, you Jane." She laughs at that ..
She says later," You got a girlfriend Jophil ?."

Geez ,it is on.
More next Wednesday ..
Stay tuned
( WTF - I"m 52 in some months, she is about 25 and a HB9 Ruskie )

At this point you probably have a woman (or multiple women) chasing you around, calling you all the time, wanting to be with you. So let's talk about how to KEEP a woman interested in you once you have her. This is BIG! There is nothing worse than getting dumped by a woman that you really, really like.
