China and Pakistan are both nuclear nations. China has the biggest army in the world, and is quite ticked off by US devaluing its dollar. China holds the majority of US debt/dollar. In all this wild card is Russia, it will either side with China or not take part.

As for an actual war, I really doubt that the US would ever deploy troops in Pakistan. There just isn't any point as they are not a true threat to the US.

War with China is impossible without involvement of Russia. That's one. Two, any war of such a large scale will involve domestic militias with United States. That simply means war will be on U.S. soil. Keep in mind that a lot of people don't trust U.S. government, as it's ran by offshore banksters, and it is a known FACT that the gulf of tonkin was a false flag operation, and it's suspected that 9/11 was an inside job as well. Alot of US jingoism going on in this thread, and to be sure its not entirely misplaced. I'll straight up out myself right here and now as a supporter of Pax Americana and the primacy of the US military.

BUT, in a total war scenario, productive capacity matters. China is the most industrial nation on earth right now, and if you think thats no biggie and "who cares we got nukes" etc then you are betraying a dangerous complacency. They can build more ships more planes more tanks more rifles more bullets more bayonets more helmets ad infinitum. In WW2 the USA had the greatest productive capacity of all nations on earth, but now China does.

Ecomically, if the Chinese EVER pull the plug on their purchases of US treasury bonds, you can kiss the USD goodbye because it'll get hyperinflated into oblivion. US sovereign debt is totally unsustainable and for the US government to continue along in any recognisable way into the future it is completely dependent on the good will of its asian creditors. Just take the present debate over whether or not to raise the US debt ceiling, such a huge debate right now, but it would be entirely moot if the Chinese decided they didn't want to buy US bonds anymore anyway.

Technologically, the Chinese are excellent copy cats. They have studied the wreckage of a stealth bomber, they were given access by the Pakistanis to the stealth helicopter that crashed during the assassination of OBL. They will be able to replicate that technology in the near future, if not already. They also have the most thriving and vigourous space exploration programme in the modern world as well.

Modern China is a totalitarian state with an aggressively nationalistic population of predominantly young males. They present a huge threat looking forward over the next 15~20 years, and this is no time for complacency, we westerners need to somehow regain our strength, because if we don't we will become the feeble prey of an acendant chinese tiger.
