About five years ago, I was seeing this girl who had a gorgeous, tall, whitewashed Indian friend. The Indian woman had just gotten out of a relationship with an Indian guy who worked in the logistics industry. She left him because he was depressed, hated his job, and spent a lot of time in bed.

Since she was newly single, she jumped on the dating scene pretty hard. She started seeing a white guy she met on Tinder; he might’ve been a contractor or an electrician. The point is: cities like Toronto and Vancouver are full of Indians, and whether they’re first, second, or third generation, they usually stay within their culture and follow the money. In contrast, I find West Indian women, like Trini girls, to be more open to interracial relationships and have that Indian look, values but with a patois accent.

It's a phenomenon with most foreigners emigrating to the USA, but perhaps more pronounced with dealing with someone coming from a country with a caste system.
