you'll feel incomplete without the run, but you'll start looking complete without the run.

I don't understand your attitude about this, you have all this dedication but doesn't seem like you want to do things right?

Read the idiots guide, use the routine in there, get your diet setup good and get started man your not above the system

Okay, I hope i don't get fat if I cut out the run.
That's not possible.

here goooes. more progress pics in a few weeks. thanks for input.
Progress pics usually mean progress. Why are you stilll posting when you look the same?

You need to do a 180 on your training program. I don't see any difference.

Start reading and find out what that 180 looks like.

Here's a good start: http://www.ironaddicts.com/forums/

Go to the site, and read. Don't bother making an account. If you begin to ask dumb**** questions, the Admin will ban you. They don't tolerate that kind of crap over there and they have a very good FAQ which goes in depth.

You're welcome for the resource.

Oh yeah. And here's a picture of a ripped Chinese guy. Stan McQuay http://i.b5z.net/i/u/230085/i/Stan_mcquay_bodybuilder_c_ezr.jpg

Don't buy into the bull**** and stereotypes. You can put on just as much muscle as everyone else when you WORK for it.

Take progress pics once a month. Do it in the morning before you eat anything, most people naturally swell up abit in the day when the circulation gets going and when they start to drink water/eat food.

This coming week will be my last week "bulking", then it's cutting time.:box:
LOL. I just read this.

Cutting? Cutting down to what? To show your muscles?

You don't have any. You're just going to look worse. Like a concentration camp victim.

Do yourself a favour and keep bulking (the right way) for a year or more. And hit those heavy weights! No heavy weight, no huge muscle. Its a rule of thumb.

Bingo!

You will only get out of it what you put into it!

And a training log. You need the following:

Sets. Reps. Weight used for each. All exercises.

Include how many minutes cardio, and 'other'. Also include total time in the gym. Get a stop watch. If its over 45minutes... you're not doing it right.

Also start a food log. Do it everyday. Include largest meals. We don't need to know you had a tic tac. Macronutrients mostly.

Then take this information and go over to T-Nation.com Bodybuildng's think tank. Ask for criticism. They will tell you what you are doing wrong, and what you do right. They don't sugar coat anything. If you want the best info, you go over there. Or at Iron Addict's. Whichever.

And for the love of god! If you do make an accont and post. NO PICTURES. You'll never live it down. They'll tear you a new assh0le. Psychologcally speaking.

Good luck. And I hope you take my advice. I just gave you the source to the holy grail of bodybuilding. Hope you take it.

well why not start with today!

rest day, no workouts

morning: sandwich with vietnamese ham (eh whatever)
break at school: banana
lunch at school: double cheese burger from school, banana, chocolate milk
after school:1/2 cup of rice, one egg(boiled), pork/shrimp grinded/baked meat, some boiled vegetables
around 6: another boiled egg
around 8: wontons

note: this isn't a very good food day, i usually have better food days.

not the best diet, i don't really control what my main meals are made of. i need to make a run to costco and buy some quality food.

alright bros, i need some input

i've been doing bench press/incline bench for a while now(8 weeks)

my question to you is, should i start switching it up and throwing in dumbell press/incline dumbell press every few weeks or should i just keep upping the weight on my bench?

Yes you should be switching as many exercises up as possible. There are cables, barbells, dumbbells and machines(try and stay away from these as much as possible, they are cool for women and beginners though) that you have to choose from.

You can name almost any exercise, whether it be flat, incline or decline benching or kickbacks, curls and squats there is always more then one way to do it!

Good Luck!

Nope, why fix what isn't broken? :) Just keep upping the weight on your bench and incline bench. There's no need to go daft exercises like cable crossovers just for the hell of it..Just keep progressing on your benches ;)

Now that you have made some progress, its time to completely change your workout. You have seen what works, so now its time to do the opposite and undo everything you worked for.

Your goal is to look the same... right? For mediocrity?

when something stops working, change it. while you can still progress, stay with it.

Nahh, you know when it stops working when you stop progressing. Let's say you go to the gym and bench 150 for 5 reps. Next time you might go for 155. Or, if you were using dumbbells, and you pressed 75lb dumbbells for 5 reps, next time you'd be going for 75lb dumbbells for 6 reps. But if you *aren't* making progress like this for 2 sessions, you're not getting much stronger, and it's time to change something (i.e. rep scheme, the incline on the bench, ...).

Soreness does indicate microtrauma, but having caused microtrauma doesn't always mean you have to be sore. I've hit PR's on incline press and not been sore the next day, yet next chest day I was stronger and had progressed again..
