If a person sleeps 8 hours per day, works 6 days a week and commutes 2 hours per work day (including getting ready), that is 56 + 12 hours (68 hours). If they work 100 hours that is 168 hours. There are only 168 hours in a week (7 x 24 = 168).

Hence, this woman is a liar. Nobody can work more than 60 hours long term and actually be productive. Granted, I billed more, but I had to be super productive in every hour worked to keep clients happy.
your math always cracks me up. What if she works 14hrs per day( 7days per week) and lives 15minutes from her work? That leaves 9.5hrs when you aren't working. A person can get by on 5-6hrs of sleep. So you have 4-5hrs of time left over in your day for eating/socializing/etc. Amazing how we can go from her being a liar to something that is possible. Just because Big Neil can't do it doesn't mean nobody else can.

You mean math in general cracks you up?

A woman who gets by on 5.5 hours sleep - forever? 68% of what is recommended? My girl needs 9 hours of sleep per day herself.

Just because I can't do it? You do realize I worked 2 jobs and billed an average of 85 hours per week for the past 6 months (including 5 straight 120 hour weeks in early 2017), with my business account showing over $202,000 in deposits since 9/20/16 (roughly 6 months - note payments are on average 21 days in arrears)? Speaking of math, that's 3 times what she would take home based on the $85K per 40 hours estimate. I can indeed do it.

You're saying this is a woman who doesn't need one hour before work to get ready and one hour after work to unwind?

OP is not only desperate enough to pursue this woman, but to also believe her!

BigNeil- I rolled on 5-6hrs of sleep for 9yrs when I used to work more than I do now.

What you billed and the time you put in are 2 different things. You must have forgot you already told us this.

And yes, not everybody needs an hour after work to sit on their azz and do nothing so they can unwind.

Yeah, 5-6 hrs a sleep is very doable for a couple years. It's best to ensure best sleep quality with good mattress, pillows, sheets and a dark and quiet room.

I recall a woman that claimed to be busy even if she worked a 40 hr week job, without kid. Claimed she had to catch up on housework over the weekends. She got into a debate about a guy who got tired of women that were scheduling dates about 2 weeks apart, which he thought was too long. She disagreed with him on that. Saying that at least at the beginning of a relationship, you shouldn't expect someone to spend an inordinate amount of time with them.

It's more of a case of he said she said, people making excuses vs. people ACTUALLY being busy. Sadly, people who say their busy are really is a substitute for not being interested in the guy, although...she kind of tends to want to still be in touch with the guy for whatever reason.

Some woman told me if a woman blows you off because she's too busy, to keep "checking in" on her on occasion to see when she does become available.

I've seen debates on message boards where women were sick of men complaining about THEM (mostly the women) being "too busy".

My motto, if you don't have the time, you MAKE the time. People would move mountains if they were truly into the person.

I'd get a kick out of some profile write-ups that say, "He must understand I'm a busy person, I work 2 jobs and up to 80 hrs a week...if you're okay with this, feel free to contact me."

I'm sure the ONLY men that would contact her would be just for booty call purposes...but...she doesn't want that, she wants her cake and eat it too.

Pretty soon, we'll have people with one foot in the grave, still working 80 to 100 hours with no real social nor love life. They WANT a love life, but that cannot be accomplished given the conditions.

Winner - the most preposterous thing ever uttered. If it were a man, you might have got away with this. Good luck with your woman who is just too busy to see you.

Lol...said no one ever. People will come up with any far reaching argument on message boards.

Nah, I go to the gym after work.... Relaxing is boring and doesnt make me happy. Its ok! I'm wired a lot different than you guys.

Monkey King said it best:

You CAN have a love life working 80 hrs. you will have weekend days a good 4 hrs or all day block, and during the week you can spend an hr or so quality time with your boo. With romance it doesn't have to be tons of time, it just has to be quality. And if both of you work, you can go to sleep together at the same time. That makes you feel more supported.

Working your jobs a working as a nurse 100 hrs/week is polar opposites. I doubt she's working 100 hrs a week. Half those have to be on call hours. Working 16hrs a day for 7 days a week. Call total bull****.

I worked at a nursing home and most nurses were emotionally and physically drained after 40-50 hours. Not to mention that mental fatigue causes safety issues.

I call bull**** on her reasoning too. If she has no time to date, why the hell is she on okcupid. All those nurses hang in clicks and could find each other boyfriends in 5 mins.

Turns out she has little time to date and lives local. She says she works 2 jobs, a nursing supervisor and clocks in a 100 hours per week.
Not likely. She just told you that so you'd stay on the hook as long as possible.

What she MEANS is that she likes you enough to chat with online, but not enough to meet in person.

Yes, but not 100.
if you live in the same house, you can have a 30minutes conjugal period before bedtime. Also the one that only works 40 hrs can bring lunch and dinner to the overworked one. So you can be romantical on those lunches and dinners.

Not necessarily. It may be a natural filter to keep out the pump and dump players. From a female perspective, it is pretty effective. Only guys that are REALLY into her would keep it up long enough for her to make sure he wasn't a player.

(Of course, that would also ensure she ends up with beta's but that's another story)

my hot plate I have right now is an RN, and teaches classes on the side at a local college. She works probably a good 80 hours or so...RN's get paid. Tons of OT available for the taking. She will find time for you if she wants to. And RN's are known freaks...from my experiences
