I recall a woman that claimed to be busy even if she worked a 40 hr week job, without kid. Claimed she had to catch up on housework over the weekends. She got into a debate about a guy who got tired of women that were scheduling dates about 2 weeks apart, which he thought was too long. She disagreed with him on that. Saying that at least at the beginning of a relationship, you shouldn't expect someone to spend an inordinate amount of time with them.
It's more of a case of he said she said, people making excuses vs. people ACTUALLY being busy. Sadly, people who say their busy are really is a substitute for not being interested in the guy, although...she kind of tends to want to still be in touch with the guy for whatever reason.
Some woman told me if a woman blows you off because she's too busy, to keep "checking in" on her on occasion to see when she does become available.
I've seen debates on
message boards where women were sick of men complaining about THEM (mostly the women) being "too busy".
My motto, if you don't have the time, you MAKE the time. People would move mountains if they were truly into the person.
I'd get a kick out of some profile write-ups that say, "He must understand I'm a busy person, I work 2 jobs and up to 80 hrs a week...if you're okay with this, feel free to contact me."
I'm sure the ONLY men that would contact her would be just for booty call purposes...but...she doesn't want that, she wants her cake and eat it too.
Pretty soon, we'll have people with one foot in the grave, still working 80 to 100 hours with no real social nor love life. They WANT a love life, but that cannot be accomplished given the conditions.
