Anyone willing to wear a $10k watch on his body is going to make an impression. Get you attention, much of it unwelcome.
I'm happier having 10x that in my bank account thanks.
Pick up my brand new £17k motorcycle on Friday, paid for in cash.
If you want to steal that you'll have to catch me first, good luck with that.

I can laid laid wearing a Timex. It has nothing to do with the watch. If you want a Rolex, buy a Rolex. But buy it because you have disposable income and YOU want it. Not to impress some chick.

Same goes for cars, boats, houses, etc.

Is it something that you want? Because if it's not and you're trying to impress others, you're going to be miserable with or without it until you change your frame.

Rolex is one of the most prestigious brands. To get a Rolex time piece, expect to spend more than $8,000.

While there are other watch brands, Rolex is the one most well known.

If a man isn't getting laid and is struggling in swiping/approaching, how much difference will a ~$10,000 Rolex make in terms of attracting women initially? How much difference will it make in terms of obtaining a girlfriend?

I've never had a Rolex. I was gifted a better than average watch at college graduation but not comparable to Rolex. That watch has never gotten me any female attention. This is a watch that retailed at over $1,000 in the mid-2000s. A Rolex in the mid-2000s was at least $6,000-$7,000 for the sake of comparison.
Flashing money around is only going to attract the absolute worst kind of people.

I think a Rolex will help getting layed just as much as, let's say a sixpack. Or a Merry .

It might compliment your overall presence, but just it won't magically attract more women. At the end of the day internal is what matters the most. You may move with more confidence, but basically it's a form of placebo.

If anything, it kinda forces you to "Rolex up" your entire lifestyle. Clothes ,house car; if you wanna be that dude you gotta go all in.

If played correctly , it can

the idea of it is to create mystery

like for example you look like a normal dude but … you also act like high status . And the Rolex just complements the mystery

women just love when they have no idea if you are high status or not . And this can be also a gateway to game her

watches are jewelry these days , so you have to wear it as such

you either have an expensive watch or non at all . Same with jewelry . You either have something really nice or better nothing at all

you always have to think what whatever you wear complements what you already have or how you are as a person

other high status people can easily smell if you are high status or not just based on how you wear yourself , especially when it comes to accessories

what a lot of you guys are failing to realize is when you buy a rolex you are not "spending" money, a lot of you are saying "i dont have 10k to spend on a watch" a rolex is not like a bmw, it's not a depreciating asset. you can always sell it and get your money back.

Well if you weren’t being racist and you’re “more London” than me you would know in the scum areas literally any race will rob you as long as they are poor. Have you seen Liverpool? No “diversity” comments needed you spanner. Enjoy Cornwall or Bristol or wherever you ran away to because you need grit and a bit about you to thrive in my city.
Two British ”blokes” arguing about which part of the UK is more crap is kind of like two prostitutes arguing over which one of them is a bigger slut.

I was a watch guy having owned a few high end brands, bought a Rolex deep sea as everyone recognises a Rollie, yes some girls did notice it. Now not my thing now prefer something more subtle.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

As others mentioned, the concern is that you might need other expensive items to back up the image that the expensive watch creates.

For example, if you're at a casino bar and can pull directly to the onsite hotel, it's fine. She won't see your car or your place.

But if you are pulling her back to your place and/or she's someone you see yourself dating, then you need the car and the crib to back it up.

All that aside, I think having nice clothes will get you a better ROI than an expensive watch.

This thread is funny on so many levels.
  1. You guys are acting as if an average Joe could simply walk into a Rolex store, put down some cash and walk out with a watch. Rolexes are impossible to buy nowadays, unless you have an established relationship with the dealer (i.e. you're a high roller) or you're willing to pay a substantial premium on the grey market.
  2. The average woman can't tell the difference between a Rolex and a $200 department store watch that kind of looks like a Rolex.
  3. A few hundred bucks will buy you a counterfeit Rolex that even a watchmaker wouldn't be able to distinguish from the real thing without taking it apart.
So no, having a Rolex will not help you get laid. Average women will have no idea that it's a Rolex and gold-diggers will assume that it's fake unless the rest of your lifestyle is congruent with the image you're trying to paint.

women do know the difference between a Rolex and something similar

with the counterfeit thing it is true

as always , it depends how you play the card . If player correctly it can create mystery , which is great for seduction

if you do not know how to play it , then it can backfire and just look low value

Not really. There are dozens if not hundreds of cheap watches that a very similar to popular Rolex models. Are you telling me that an average woman will be able to tell the difference between a Rolex and an Invicta on your wrist?

yeah , they can :)

If she can not see it properly , she will just ask you to show it to her , like they do with jewelry for example

women are experts in gauging your status , and they do it holistically Too

the biggest giveaway if you are high status or not is with food & drinks . Either by what you order , either by what you know

that is a great topic to convey that you are high status , and most women are foodies . Double bang

I disagree. My watch has never gotten me any female attention. It would be super nice compared to a $200 department store watch. My watch is considered trash compared to a genuine Rolex.
