Hot take, but the US has no real core culture. What is acting American because I can tell what acting German or French defines? The definition of assimilating in to American culture was just becoming an honorary white to avoid discrimination which worked before the civil rights era. Now we are in a position where it’s just a huge mess because there’s no core American identity. Our two party political system has a lot to blame too. I will even attribute this lack of culture to why dating sucks here. Go to another country and you will see the men and women acting in unison and third places. Cold approaching is better suited for casual sex and one night stands than for LTRs IMO.
