This is what I mean when I say looks or appearance, with a stronger emphasis on facial symetry, facial balance and nonverbal communicators over word choice.

now as for the provisioing i dont think its necesssary at all!!! SURE money makes it easier and you must have some to get by in life but you dont need mass wealth. you can live very simply and still be very happy. Her liking you will trump the money issue everytime. every damm time.

Economic means matter less when compesated for by looks and "personality" or game in the short-term and while your both young, but if you want the most desirable girl for the long run it matters quite a bit

A mod should be objective, and Rollo is not.

You sure are skating on thin ice here. If the mods were being objective you'd be the one gone. Talk about throwing stones from a glass house. I find Rollo to be very objective and a person you can respectively disagree with and he never make it personal. I've only seen him lock threads when people like you or Wyldfire types divert it and turn it into a personal flame war. I'm not trying to flame you, so if you have reply at least keep it on the topic of Rollo's objectivety and fairness or better yet on the thread topic.

Life experience is what shapes a man and who he is, and who a man is, THAT is what matters to the ladies.

Well in swifty's description I counted at least 70% of it going directly to appearance, less than 21% going to word choice and even part of that was atttributal to visual appearance and to some extent how "good" your voice sounds. And that doesn't even get into a the matter that a man's confidence is boosted by having means and a woman's always subjective evaluation of a man is influencd strongly by his economic status.

This is not a flame, but for the life of me I can't figure out why some people are so fixated on ruling out certain things women look for in a mate, to the point where they don't even make an attempt to read the thread to see what it's all about.

In the other thread it was people picking out a few key words (money, wealth, etc) and then trying to argue a point that nobody even brought up. In this thread you are saying that Rollo singled out looks, when the title AND the entire post say something completely different.

The fact that this is happening should tell us something about the nature of MEN. I'm too tired to even start to think about dissecting this, but there has to be an interesting explanation.

So, as one of the resident chicks here, how bout you clue us in on what it IS: not looks, not money, not status, not genes. OK. That pretty much just leaves "personality," I guess. Not that "personality" is a one-dimensional thing --- confidence, C+F, the "cool" factor, humor, intelligence, etc.

It is the whole package. When it is about just one thing, you can pretty much sum up the person by that. I.E. if the main attraction is money/status/career the girl is a gold digger. If the main attraction is sex, the girl might just be a h0.

Most women fall in love with a man because of all of his traits that make him, HIM. I will say that many times a man might have a "hook", or something that is unique about him that the woman finds irresistable. This is what keeps her coming back, as she discovers more of his traits. This would be called "getting to know" him.

Attraction has more to do with charisma. A man with charisma will snatch a chick up from Donald Trump, and he will snatch a chick up from Brad Pitt. Unless Brad or Donald have charisma too, which they just might. I haven't met them, I don't know.

And charisma, is personality.

It is intangible, unlike looks, or status, which might make it an intimidating factor for men who lack it. Naturals know exactly what I am talking about.

All these theories on hardwired subconscious evolved mate selection could be debunked just by taking a look around you. Genes just don't matter.

Just gimme a brief, direct list of what does it for ya.

A sense of humour. A nice smile (this is subjective, Keto...). Wit. Intelligence. A similar outlook on life. Sexuality. Those are some things that I value.

If he is handsome, great!!!

If he is rich... greater!!!

If he isn't handsome... well you remember my last field report. Personality trumps looks.

Those things (looks, status) are just icing on the cake. The cake is the sustenance.

Yeah, looks and provisioning matter, surely enough. But if they were all that mattered, this forum need not concern itself with anything but how to look your best and how to make as much money as possible. And most of the adverts would be for plastic surgeons and "get rich quick" schemes.

But, as one individual so aptly pointed out, a vast majority of people -- including a vast majority of those here -- are not super-rich or super-attractive.

I'd also hazard a guess a lot of women don't really know what they want, but know it when they meet him (or her, if she swings that way). And this is not meant to be an insult to women: what I find attractive in a woman is too subjective and quirky to list, as well.

Certain things generally matter, but there's really no formula: pay attention to what happens. Enjoy it! Discovery is part of the fun of it all!
