I think you overestimate the percentage of men who are incel by a large margin. Most men are in some sort of multiyear relationship or marriage. The guys in longer term relationships, married or not married, are not getting laid all that much. I define these longer term relationships as 5+ years. Married men don't get laid all that much by their 3rd year of marriage, which is typically the 5 year mark of the relationship. However, some longer term married man getting his wife to suck him off and open her vagina to him twice a month without a lot of passion would be a good deal for a man who is an incel.
The incel population is growing due to male surpluses globally. The United States, a nation with a lesser male surplus problem than China/India, has seen some incel initiated crime.

A lot of the men nixing marriage are men that are there by default. These are the men undesirable to most of the female population, including the overweight female population.
There are men who find themselves with 2 options in life: An extended relationship with a subpar, overweight woman in which he'll have to work hard to retain her from a multitude of orbiters or inceldom.
Men as a whole are having to work harder to get/retain women of lower quality than 20, 30, or 40 years ago.

They are the exact same types of people except they turn inwards and typically kill themselves instead of killing others, culture difference. They have them in China too and its going to rise exponentially because of the 30 million extra males. In China the incels will go out and kill children.

This is a world-wide problem and it happens as a result of politics and an imbalance between males and females. Incel and MGTOW have a lot of overlap. All incels are MGTOWs but not all MGTOWs are incels. The incel population often ruins the perception of the MGTOW movement as a whole. There's a perception out there that MGTOWs are guys who can't get laid. I do not identify with MGTOW or even PUA though I am closer to a PUA than a MGTOW. Many of the grievances that MGTOWs have are legitimate.

Starting in the 1990s in Japan, there were no jobs for young men due to economic recession.
