My two cents:
Looks are not very important. Your IMAGE is important. The two things are distinct and seperate. Fortunately, while there is not much you can do about your looks outside going to the gym, there is lots you can do to improve your image.
Why do I say this? Well, I have two wings which permanently killed all my limitiing beliefs about looks. The first is EXTREMELY good looking. Six feet tall, blond hair, well built, he could seriously be a model if he wanted to. BUT -- he's not well spoken, and he doesn't have much game. When we go out, the girls barely notice him, and they're attracted to me even though he's better looking.
The second is one of my seduction mentors, Dimitri. He's not good looking at all. But, he has one of the most incredible personalities which I have ever seen. He has about five girlfriends currently, and regularly goes out and gets other girls' numbers. When I'm in a set with him, its the exact opposite scenario as before -- the girls barely notice me, even though I'm better looking than him.
And the weird thing is -- girls can tell that Dimitri is attractive, while my other wing is not, before they even open their mouths. Like, Dimitri will get girls checking him out all the time in public. My other wing, the good looking one, never will. It's all about the vibe and image you present, which is the product of your inner beliefs. This is manifested in your body language, facial expressions, voice, grooming, style, etc.
So to conclude -- if anybody reading this thread thinks that he's not getting laid because he's cursed with bad genes, think again. That's just an excuse you're using to justify your failure. Anybody can get laid with beautiful women, if they're not lazy and are out there doing 20+ approaches per week, for two or three years. Good teaching can speed up this progress a lot, but the most important thing is that you're out the field getting rejected over and over again, being persistant, and improving your skills.
