Any horror movie fans?

I'm finding most American horror movies are garbage these days.

Some Korean horror films are creepy as hell though, like really sinister.

Personally I'm a fan of old school 80's and 90's horror, like

I like some types of horror movies, if I can stomach it. The types I like, is where it comes with a twist BAD ending, and then it cuts off to some cool end credit song sequence when you are still trying to process what just happened there. I've seen this in Life (2017) (end song was "spirit in the sky), or Smile (2022) (end credit song was "lolipop"), or Crawl (2019) (was horrific but had a happy twist, but it was quite an ordeal getting there, "see you later allegator", and of course Brightburn (2019) which ends with Bllie Elish song (I'm a Bad Guy).

One of the craziest horror movies I watched is called "The Sadness"

It's a Chinese/Taiwanese project I think...

Honestly it's fvcking insane and sometimes a little disturbing haha.

I don't think YouTube even lets you watch the Trailer, unless you confirm that you are over the age of 18

But yeh, I find foreign horror movies are way better than US ones.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

Yep, big fan. It is hard to come by a true horror movie that can scratch that itch for me nowadays. But I must admit I have a high threshold and tolerance so my standards are high.

"Hollywood" horror movies are subpar. Even the new Exorcist movie was a mistake in my opinion, did it have okay moments? Yes. But as with most sequels, it felt forced and in this case, very disconnected from the original. The only thing that connected it was the "demon" mentioning Regan and the mum. But it felt super forced. And too tacky.

However, some Japanese, Korean, and Spanish independent films are good enough to scratch that itch. "Veronica" is a start, and so is "Rec (only the first one).

But it depends on your horror taste. I am big into Demonology, exorcisms, and hauntings especially if they are based on true events. Amytiville is a great example of old-school horror that got me when I first watched it. Nowadays I can tell my tolerance is higher because I continue to watch those classics and fascinates me more than scares me.

Bottom line, I would look for international independent films.

Yeh I find recent American horror is garbage.

I didn't even bother with the new Excorcist movie, as I knew it would be a train wreck.

I have two possession movie recommendations for you. The first one is Korean & is called "The Wailing" damn this movie is a near masterpiece. It has one of the most intense exorcism scenes I have ever witnessed on film.

The other film is quite recent & it's an Argentinian possession movie. It's called When Evil Lurks.. This one is fvcking insane.. I mean some scenes in this movie are damn shocking.

I highly recommend you watch these. Will link you the trailers.

There are movies that I I feel are not scary but I still enjoyed them. One example that comes to mind is Dr. Sleep.

I love them. The last Halloween film was good. Loved the Friday the 13th suspense movies.

I've watched most of them.

I love the suspense movies.
