Was America better off when women were expected to talk, dress and act like ladies?

"In order to get the woman of your dreams, you need to be the man of hers"

-Asian Playboy

It's not the "wife", it's the "woman", I think people's wants/needs have changed. You can't say it's better or worse, it's just different.

I think that society has changed a lot, even in the last decade, in just the last decade, we never had facebook, cell phones, twitter, myspace, etc etc.

Communication has been made so much easier and it's become a lot easier for both men and women to satisfy their needs as a result of it.

Society is just different nowadays, I feel generally speaking that people don't seek that nice house, nice wife and the picket fence. People want the fancy cars, fancy homes, and the hot ass wife. I feel that kids are more of a liability nowadays.

Maybe I've been stuck in hollywood too long, but that's my perception at this point.

Hell yes it was! Bring back hyper-femininity and drop the hyper-feminism.

You all are wrong, the 1880s was the time when women where the most funnest, back then everyone was wild and free.
Drugs were legal back then too. Not to say that society is perfect, but people generally believed in individual rights and shunned the Nazi Police State we live in today.
