Using a lot of supplements and health

Hi guys

Been going to the gym for over 4 years now, the results are not what it should be. Reason is my diet.

I've tried eating a surplus of calories, but it's hard for me to eat more even though I'm full. So I tend to seek solution in shakes.

But I have my thoughts about the health issues. The supplements I'd take are just a simple mass gainer and of course some protein shakes. It's basically the same nutritional value as an extra meal.

I've read about the effect on kidneys, even though there are no exact results and it's a bit of a grey area, I'd like to have some thoughts from you guys. Shakes are of course supereasy and take no time at all to make.

Better off eating food than processed shakes tho i drink one a night around 830 or 9.
Decreasing sugar is a great start.
No artificial anything.
Go organic if you can.
Fruits vegetables meats nuts and water. Nothing else.

Unfortunately there is no magic solution. If you want to eat healthy then you will have to be more motivated to eat more. If you are ok with not eating healthy all the time then I would still drop the mass gainer. Instead make your own mass gainer with bananas peanut butter etc......or just eat more of the stuff that you actually like to eat even if it is not bodybuilding clean eating approved food.

Protein shake I would also limit to one a day.

About the kidneys, drinking a lot of water should help with that.

I find it hard to believe that you're going hard enough at the gym. Otherwise, your body would be demanding more food than your current intake. Are you eating or craving snacks in between meals?

My current schedule is a three day split, advice is always helpfull because to be honest, through all the info you can find on the internet, I honestly don't know anymore what is good or bad.

I'm not really hungry but I do eat something every 1-2 hours during the day between lunch and dinner (piece of fruit, shake, protein bar,...).

A:
bench press 4x8
cable flies 4x8
peck deck 4x8
incline dumbbell press 4x8
triceps pushdown 3x8
single arm cable pushdown 3x8
skullcrushers 3x8
barbell pushdown with back locked 3x8

B:
deadlift 2x6
pulldown 4x8
row (machine) 4x8
bent over row 4x8
cable pullover 4x8
preacher curl 3x8
barbell curl 3x8
hammer curl 3x8
cable curl (standing, two arms at the same time at the cable flies machine, don't know the name) 3x8

C:
squats 4x12,10,8,8
leg extension 4x8
calf raises 4x12,8,8,8
leg curl 4x8
barbell military press 3x8
lateral raises 3x8
reverse flies 3x8
arnold press 3x8

Abs are done sometimes after a workout or on off days.

Are you getting enough Zinc, Magnesium, Iodine, B vitamins, Fish oils?

If you are not getting enough of that, you're not making enough growth hormones and testosterone.

I've had my blood taken a few months ago, they said everything was ok. I do always feel like I don't have enough testosteron as I feel myself as a pathetic nice guy who is afraid of conflict. I fap once a week and don't watch porn.

I'll buy some extra zinc as I just read about the symptoms of a deficiency and many are spot on.

Whats considered normal by doctors is not always whats optimal.

Zinc is extremely important, it is one of the few supplements I actually feel a difference(the other being Vitamin D and Magnesium). Just make sure you are getting the right type of zinc. I have bad experiences with zinc sulfate, good experiences with chelated zinc and zinc gluconate.

I take Whey protein as an important weapon in my muscle-building arsenal. I also take shake one time to keep my diet balanced along with food. In food I prefer to take organic food.

I take whey protein only for the most part. I don't really bother with many supplements- I just spend money on food. If I feel I need a certain vitamin or mineral more than the others I just emphasis food that will give me what I need.

If you are taking loads of calories all day you will not be producing the required growth hormone to get big. Look into intermittent fasting. Ensure that you get proper sleep so the body can repair and produce growth hormone.

Getting big is easier if you work with your body rather than against it. I can't understand why people would be putting their back out 6 days a week in the gym and packing away thousands of calories when they could get the same result with half as much work done properly.

Mass gainer dont work...plus they give me zits. When u workout hard your just hungry. So eat food.
