I keep thinking this. I don't think the cop should have shot Rayshard Brooks, but it appears everyone else valued his life more than he did. Brilliant post, by the way.

The announcer for the Sacramento Kings was fired because he said "All lives matter", people said that was racist. This still boggles my mind.

That kind of stuff is where the current protest lost me. Racial injustice is bad, I support police reform. But firing people because they don't think the same way as the current politically correct trends say they should, banning books and movies, burning down cities, assaulting people, pelting police with blunt objects, killing police, abolishing police, defunding police, occupying cities, tearing down statues, destroying art and American history, trying to destroy democracy and replace it with Marxism and anarchy, it's all too out there for me, man.
Welcome to socialism. The dems have been wanting this all along. Unless the right wing rises up, things are going to get bad.
I honestly think this country is on the verge of a civil war. It has nothing to do with skin color rather all about the moral divide.

The biggest threat to black lives is other black lives:

93% of all blacks were killed by black people.

Black lives are also a greater threat to all lives generally speaking. Blacks are just 12% of the US population but account for half of all homicide offenses in the US:

To put it simply, the best way to protect black lives is by keeping them away from their own people, which conversely, puts everyone else at far greater risk of becoming victims of homicide, and other violent crimes.

Let me preface this post by stating that I am no way racist. I dont look at skin color, rather how people treat others.

With that being said:

1.) The issues in this country are not a race issue. Its one political party trying to use the African American community as pawns in their political game. Obama was one of the biggest racism pot stirrers of our generation....thats a fact. It comes down to a moral issue and a hate issue.

2.) Racism exists because certain media outlets have control on how to program their viewers. They use "racism" as division in this country. Divided the American people (every race) is weaker and more submissive to some's agenda for socialism.

3.) Its despicable how some used the death of George Floyd as a free pass to steal loot, burn down businesses, etc. It was never about George Floyd and all about THEM.

4.) George Floyd was certainly not a saint but he didnt deserve the treatment he received either. For the liberals to hand his family a folded flag intended for those who died serving our country, its disgusting. This guy was a career criminal, held a gun to a pregnant woman's stomach as he robbed her and had numerous drugs in his system at the time of his death. So lets not make him some hero. I dont care if it was a white guy that this happened to......no hero.

5.) If certain members in the black community want to "rise up" over this racism, they need to stop playing the poor me victim card and work on themselves to get ahead in this life. Everyone in this country has the same opportunities. I would be lying to say that certain ethnic groups in certain parts of the country dont have it harder than others, but playing the "I'm black so I am a victim" card is getting old. I get up every morning and bust my ass for what I have and I know plenty of people of other ethnicity that do the same. I dont see them out there looting and shooting each other or screaming racism because they are too busy on their own purpose to continue success.

6.) There are great people of all races in this world and there are pieces of shyte from all as well. There are hard workers and lazy people in all ethnic groups. I think there are very few "racists" left but certain news outlets want to shape your mind to think differently.

7.) The removal of the monuments is stupid. You cant erase history. If I was black I would be proud of where my heritage came from to where I am now. I would want to celebrate it, not destroy it.

8.) I never owned slaves and none of my AA friends picked cotton. People who live in the past like that are going nowhere fast and its more of the victim mentality. Focus on today and the future. Work hard to earn more, regardless of your race.
If you want to get ahead in this one life you have, rise up and self improve. Stop putting your hand out because "youre offended" (that goes for all walks of life).

Be careful of what you let your eyes see and your ears hear. Learn to think for yourself and not be tricked into not seeing what is really going on in this country.

We have the greatest country in the world. If you work hard and follow the rules you will have a great chance of being successful. If you want to be lazy and expect handouts, you will always be stuck at the bottom. If you want to steal a cop's weapon, expect to get shot. That goes for everyone. White, black, Asian....doesnt matter.

I would join in on the protesting if this was a group trying to stop abortion. For crying out loud where is rally for protecting babies that cannot speak for themselves? No, we are all stuck on shyte like this. Pathetic. Or a rally for ALL lives matter (because they do).

The minute you put a color in front of "Lives matter", you are no better than the most explicit racists in this country.
you're either racist as hell or just blissfully ignorant

I have good news! If you don't like cops, no one will force you to call on them if you need their help.
Got troubles in the year 2020?
Imagine what it was like 50 years earlier.
And (are you sitting down?) a black child that grew up over 50 years ago became our previous president.

This happened because people like myself voted for him (well, I did in the 2008 election).
With your current platform, I wouldn't vote for you, but I'd offer you a participation trophy.
Electing a black man as President doesn’t make the United States any less racist than it is.

The Bubba Wallace/Nascar scandal is a perfect example of how racism works in this country.

He claims someone put a noose in his garage area at the track. Nascar gives this guy a hero ceremony. Most of the American public buys right in and gobbles this up as a "Hate Crime".

FBI comes in. Turns out it is just a rope that operates the garage door. Its been there for years. Total HOAX.

Are you awake yet America? Or are you still drinking the Kool-Aid they are forcing down your throat? This is nothing more than Jessie Smollett 2.0. I dont care what color the person is, its shameful that something this ordinary is made out to be such a big scandal. Of course when the truth comes out, it just goes away. They want us feeding on the hate.......not the truth. Dont give it to them by not buying in to the bullshyte they are force feeding you in the news and on social media. Just like in life, have an open mind, think for yourself and wait until ALL the facts come out.

By the way, there are many posters on SoSuave with an African American heritage. Cola comes to mind. I look at them as the value they bring to the table on this forum, as I do people in real life interaction. I choose to look at people for what they are, their intent and how they treat me. Racism does exist.....but people need to realize where it is coming from.

Let me preface this post by stating that I am no way racist. I dont look at skin color, rather how people treat others.
“I don’t see color” is a racist statement. Whether you choose to admit or not, society treats black people differently than white people. That is fact.

With that being said:

1.) The issues in this country are not a race issue. Its one political party trying to use the African American community as pawns in their political game. Obama was one of the biggest racism pot stirrers of our generation....thats a fact. It comes down to a moral issue and a hate issue.
This is denial. The issues are race. Barack Obama was a model citizen ascending to the most powerful position in the world and that in itself pissed a lot of white people off.

2.) Racism exists because certain media outlets have control on how to program their viewers. They use "racism" as division in this country. Divided the American people (every race) is weaker and more submissive to some's agenda for socialism.
Racism exists because it’s an expeditious route to power. It’s always existed long before the media had any influence.

3.) Its despicable how some used the death of George Floyd as a free pass to steal loot, burn down businesses, etc. It was never about George Floyd and all about THEM.
agreed. It is a shame that opportunists take advantage of what could be a positive societal movement.

Being a saint is irrelevant. No one deserves to be suffocated to death by the state over $20. State shouldn’t execute its citizens. Fact is, white guys don’t get executed by police over dumb ****.

Sorry but “everyone has the same opportunities” is wrong on literally every metric. Education, life expectancy, wealth creation, criminal justice - you name it.

6.) There are great people of all races in this world and there are pieces of shyte from all as well. There are hard workers and lazy people in all ethnic groups. I think there are very few "racists" left but certain news outlets want to shape your mind to think differently.
How can someone who’s never lived a day as a black person or any other minority know there are only a few racists left?

7.) The removal of the monuments is stupid. You cant erase history. If I was black I would be proud of where my heritage came from to where I am now. I would want to celebrate it, not destroy it.
Black people should be proud to see slave master statues all over this county why? Should we start erecting Hitler statues and tell Jews to be proud of them?

8.) I never owned slaves and none of my AA friends picked cotton. People who live in the past like that are going nowhere fast and its more of the victim mentality. Focus on today and the future. Work hard to earn more, regardless of your race.
If you went to college, there’s a good chance your university was built by slave labor, along with the White House and pretty much every piece of American infrastructure. At least know some history before choosing to disregard it.

Not sure how any of this is connected to racism or the social topics you brought up.

We have the greatest country in the world. If you work hard and follow the rules you will have a great chance of being successful. If you want to be lazy and expect handouts, you will always be stuck at the bottom. If you want to steal a cop's weapon, expect to get shot. That goes for everyone. Actually the data says the United States is no where near the top on education, health care outcomes, Gini coefficient, democratic freedoms, infant mortality, or any of the key quality of life metrics. We are #1 for coronavirus though.

I would join in on the protesting if this was a group trying to stop abortion. For crying out loud where is rally for protecting babies that cannot speak for themselves? No, we are all stuck on shyte like this. Pathetic. Or a rally for ALL lives matter (because they do).

We all agree that the media and social media in 2020 is a dumpster fire. However, if you truly value and respect black folks you know both on this forum and in real life, you would listen to our lived experience. Don’t downplay it or create some counter narrative. Every black person in the United States by adulthood has a story of being profiled, called a racial slur, or just treated like shvt for no apparent reason.

“I don’t see color” is a racist statement.
What a stupid statement. I am in awe that you could type such a thing with a straight face.

This is denial. The issues are race. Barack Obama was a model citizen
:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Sorry but “everyone has the same opportunities” is wrong on literally every metric.
Please explain to me why there are rich white and black people who came from nothing as well as poor white and black people. I will wait your masterful answer (and remind you if you fail to answer).

Black people should be proud to see slave master statues all over this county why? Should we start erecting Hitler statues and tell Jews to be proud of them?
We are not talking about Hitler and Jews. I guess nobody was mad before Floyd was killed? No.....its just a reason for the disrespectful generation of lazy, non respectful and cowardly people to go commit crimes. Prove me wrong. You cant. Every statue they take down is committing a felony. Every TV they stole in the looting- crime. All for George though....right?

The black people that are in my social circles understand that they never picked cotton. They know I never owned slaves. They are proud of where their heritage has come from to where they are today. That is a successful approach to life. Not one of "Poor Pitiful Me!" and playing the victim/criminal role.

If you went to college, there’s a good chance your university was built by slave labor
WTF? Seriously? I can promise you that the college I attended was not built by slave labor. GTFO of here with that nonsense.

Not sure how any of this is connected to racism or the social topics you brought up.
I agree its probably way above your level of thinking after reading your shyte for a post above.

If ALL lives matter then black lives matter, do they not?
Is that a rhetorical question? Because I have only stated that ALL lives matter 1000 times this week on here (not literally but a lot).

Doesnt ALL include ALL? Or am I missing something?

Yea, speechless and over your head. Trust me, the police definitely see that I’m black.

Please explain to me why there are rich white and black people who came from nothing as well as poor white and black people. I will wait your masterful answer (and remind you if you fail to answer).
Micro vs macro. Put down the individualism crack pipe down and see the bigger picture.

Deflection. We have statues of men all over the country that raped and lynched the great great grandparents of your black friends. I’ll ask you again - should we erect statues of Hitler and tell the Jews to be proud?

The black people that are in my social circles understand that they never picked cotton. They know I never owned slaves. They are proud of where their heritage has come from to where they are today. That is a successful approach to life. Not one of "Poor Pitiful Me!" and playing the victim/criminal role.
There’s a lot of pride among Black Americans for the struggles we have overcome. My own grandparents weren’t allowed to vote.

WTF? Seriously? I can promise you that the college I attended was not built by slave labor. GTFO of here with that nonsense.
You would be wrong.

I agree its probably way above your level of thinking after reading your shyte for a post above.
Yeah ok. The self help propaganda is all over this forum.

Is that a rhetorical question? Because I have only stated that ALL lives matter 1000 times this week on here (not literally but a lot).

No it’s not a rhetorical question. If all lives matter to you than you agree that black lives matter. Can you say that black lives matter?

Where did I go to college? You tell me since you know it all. I will wait.
No need. To stay on topic, this conversation in the U.S. just goes in circles. We watch our state sanctioned executions happen on video, everyone admits it is heinous, then some still get defensive when actions against such state violence is addressed.

The first step is admitting. The United States has a credibility problem. It has a race problem. It has a policing problem. It has a health care problem. It has a collective narcissism problem.

If you were Black you would probably been in jail already for something you are normally doing. Did you ever take or hold drugs? Did you ever jaywalk? Did you ever drink inside a car? Did you ever have a broken taillight? Did you ever go in a park that was no tresspassing? The list goes on and on of what Blacks have gone to jail for but normally whites dont.
Never held drugs that I didn't have a script for. The only time I ever jaywalked is on a country road where you might see 1 car every 40 minutes. I have never drank alcohol while inside a car. I have had broken headlight low beam, I was kind enough to turn off my high beams while driving past a cop at night who turned around wrote me a ticket for me being a nice guy and not leaving my brights on, during the traffic stop the cop pulled his gun on me and trained it on me. I have never trespassed through a park, they usually have signs up that say no trespassing. I've also had cops run up on my car, guns drawn because my car and face matched a description. My advice to you is if a cops approaches your vehicle with guns drawn, turn the vehicle off curb the wheels and never take your hands off the steering wheel, I asked my friend to put his hand on the dashboard and to wait then all you need to do is comply. I once ran into a store to grab some milk and left my car running and a cop took my keys and drove them down to the police station he left me a note. I walked 3 miles to the police station got my keys walked back to the corner store to get my car, not a mile down the road I was pulled over and issued a field sobriety test and breathazyler which I blew 0.0%. The cop wasted 45 minutes of my time not including the walk, I was angry sure, but it what it is.

Every black person in the United States by adulthood has a story of being profiled, called a racial slur, or just treated like shvt for no apparent reason.
You might feel like you think it's because your black but everyone has been profiled, called a racial slur and been treated like shvt for no apparent reason that is the world man.

You are right in that I will never understand what a black person goes through because I'm not black just as much as you will never understand what most whites go through.

Corrector, I see your from Canada and not the US. I've spent plenty of times in Brampton and love me some Brampton girls. The thing is though culturally blacks from Canada are much different from the US. I could be out all night walking the streets in Brampton as white guy and feel completely safe. There are parts of the US inter cities where as a white guy that just not possible.

State sanctioned executions of black men is unacceptable. “That is the world man” is not a sufficient solution.

You are right in that I will never understand what a black person goes through because I'm not black just as much as you will never understand what most whites go through.
Exercise some humility and listen to the black and brown folks out there who have lived experience on these issues. Are you willing to do that?

The United States has a credibility problem. It has a race problem. It has a policing problem. It has a health care problem. It has a collective narcissism problem.
No it has a moral divide. Big difference.

In my hometown just 2 weeks ago an unarmed WHITE man was killed by police while in their custody. I didnt see it on CNN.

Our health care problem is from your DEMOCRATS and your OBUMMER giving away what the working people work hard for to illegal immigrants and LAZY people. To the point that it is ill affordable for the people who are PAYING for it. I dont hear the welfare class complaining about health insurance prices.

Let me give you an example:

When Obamacare came out I checked on the pricing through the Obamacare website. Myself and one dependent, medical, vision and dental. I own businesses so I self pay for my insurance.

At the time I was paying roughly $400 a month for my and my daughter's coverage with a $2500 yearly deductible. Under the Obamacare website, with the same insurance company I had at the time and a higher deductible ($5000 yearly) it was nearly $725 a month. It was nothing but a money grab to resale insurance and make a ton of money through the servicing fees (which was the difference in cost). What did that do to the insurance industry? It drove prices up. Why would United Health Care continue to sell me insurance for $400 when the government is selling their same insurance commitment at a lower quality of value (higher deductible) for $725 (with people buying it). It was quite ironic when my private pay increased by nearly $150 a month soon after.

Thank Obummer for that one.

You see the government doesnt SELL anything. Its taxation with representation (which recently proves to also be a major failure to all race communities).

They are in the business of reselling other private sector products. You can only imagine what that does for capitalism (which you are also probably against).

I would guess you as having some government job where you dont have to go out and scratch out your own living like people do in the private sector. The private sector has a minimum wage without a ceiling. The socialist pushing dems hate that because there is little economic control over their constituents. They want government to be in more control and take the power away from private sector capitalism. History shows that does not work, in fact its an epic failure in every economy that has been ratified to a socialistic government. Imagine this country in the great depression of the early 1930s. People standing in long lines for hours just to get a block of government cheese, some powdered milk and some rotten peanut butter. Google search any and all socialistic countries and see what comes up. More of the same.

Some of you people are too blind to realize that this isnt about a virus, racism (that yes does exist and I never said otherwise) or anything else other than control.

Why do the democratic leaders (Schumer, Pelosi and Nadler) all of a sudden know what is best for this country even though they have been in office for decades? They dont. They want control.

The further they can divide this country by allowing racism, moral divide, etc, the easier it is to gain control. Dont believe me? Look at what political party is in control in every US city that has been allowing looting, rioting and criminal actions to go on within their cities. All democratic controlled.

Wake up. Stop being a pawn.

Exercise some humility
Wouldnt that also include not burning down people's businesses, beating of old people for no reason, stealing and looting other people's property? Or does that not apply when it doesnt work in your favor?

Stop hyperventilating.

they aren't asking you to agree with blm.

They're asking you to click the agree button to pass that screen, so they can later say they've got proof that all their members are AWARE of their stance on blm, not that all their members agree with blm.

this is more cya than anything else.

Big corporation don't give a rats arse about blm or any sub-section of any underclass.

They just don't want the negative blowback if it looks like they don't.
