For those of you who have seen Landman, the main plot may be a little off based, however, the way the ex-wife behavior is scripted , and also the daughter of the landman, are relevant. I did see parallels with regular white girl behavior. Unfortunately, these are less than optimal behaviors, nonetheless I’ve seen this so clearly in the real world, that I recommend the series almost as a case study.

On another note, I sometimes go to bars just to watch people’s behavior. I though I would share a couple of things I have saw:

1) most solid looking guys arrive with their girls already

2) men that appear to be hunting the dance floor are usually in a group of men, and I’ve seen multiple approaches: some just sit down and watch from the sidebar sipping a beer, once they establish eye contact they might move further if the interaction is favorable. Some just stand there talking among themselves and might do something if they receive an IOI.

3) Whenever I’ve seen a guy acting alone, it’s usually a 6’4 bulky type of guy. The last example of this was this guy just walking directly towards a pretty girl in the dance floor and asking her point blank: do you have a boyfriend? Girl said yes, and the guy just walked away from the bar, I assume to another bar? I could picture this guy having an strategy of doing this in 4 to 5 places to find a girl each night.

4)Then there’s the shorter, not so solid looking guys that seem to know each other, stick around and try to dance with random girls in the crowd. I’ve seen some of these guys score with girls that are already drunk by the end of the night, or make a connection for a next time.

Group 1 usually dances, group 2 usually doesn’t dance, group 3 doesn’t dance at all, group 4 dances.

Curious to know how similar or not is your experience

Are you trying to learn something from our experiences? Like is there a broad question you're looking to have answered?

Because bars are a really bad place to observe successful behavior, since you'll see it so rarely.

Most people in America are overweight, underpaid, and married to unattractive women. If anything, these observations should tell you to do the opposite of what you're witnessing.

@parabellum I'm glad you mentioned Landman, I was going to ask if anyone ever dated women like the mom or daughter? I had a girl that was just like the mom. Fun, flirty, outgoing, talks to everyone, and insecure. Train wreck looking for a place to happen most of the time.

My favorite scene was when Angela and her daughter get drunk at the country club and Tommy tosses her in the pool.
He is pretty good with handling her.

That makes sense. A guy going for women in a place with alcohol needs to be able to defend himself, or at least appear somewhat intimidating.
