Dont compromise form and pacing just to lift more weight. If you are using perfect form and lowering the weight nice and slow (2 seconds on the negative portion of the lift!) you will not be able to lift nearly as much as if you jerk the weight around or lift and lower it quickly.

Who cares how much other guys lift? What they do is not important to your training. YOUR form and pacing are what matters.

Going slow on the negative rarely yields results in mass gains, only negative strength.

I would say that a normal rep should last around 2.5/3 secs.

In Solid's defence, I'm sure I remember him posting a picture of himself a few months ago and he was ripped!! I'm no expert in bodybuilding, but whatever he is doing, it's working damn well!

Anyway, I'm with Phenom. I don't care about my strength, it's all about how good I look! I just want chiselled pecs, abs and arms, rather than those rounded and bulky World's Strongest Men type physiques.

Heh. You know you can have both if you do it right, and it really isnt that hard.

Do not be too easy. If you are too easy to get, she will not want you. If you are too easy to keep, she will lose interest in you. If you are too easy to control, she will not respect you.

SOLID, those forearms look fvcking pisser buddy. Do you train them directly? Or do they just get enough of a workout from shrugs, deadlifts etc?

Solid first off... I can't clearly see the wieght on those... sencond... I can find weights that size that only weigh 10-15 pounds...

I'm not sure what all the Kg's and ****'s about... but to me that doesn't look that tough... nor do a I belive a word you say...

To Dj-Ben's comment on smaller weights... You can also use soup cans and stuff like that if you don't want to go buy a 1-pounder.... just tie them to the weight like he said... I used to do thatfor a while...

Well they were my most lagging muscle. I read this bruce lee training book and it was saying how he trained his forearms. The main exercise he used was a wrist roller. He used it everyday and added great size. I use it every few days and have got upto 5.5kg for 2 ups and downs.

It's 2 10kg plates to each dumbell. Standard weights look smaller to olympic. Sorry but theres no other way I can prove myself, stop with the hate!

It doesn't matter how good-looking you are, how romantic you are, how funny you are... or anything else. If she doesn't have something INVESTED in you and the relationship, preferably quite a LOT invested, she'll dump you, without even the slightest hesitation, as soon as someone a little more "interesting" comes along.

So where's the barbell curls at 100lbs+ at 4-6 reps? A picture of someone with a 20KG dumbell in their hand is solid proof that they can get someone to take a pic of their hand and a 20KG dumbell.

The grip looks rough and you really havnt repped that. The pic shows nothing at all.

I'll get a pic of my forearm up as soon as I find my cams software. Those forearms really arent all that. If you train properly, theres very little need to do forearms very often at all because the shrugs, deads and curls hit it well.

**** man, I wish I didnt have to lay off the training for the past 2-3 weeks, I feel like crap and KNOW I have lost muscle. I really need to get back into the gym when I'm feeling up to it :\

I don't see what's so unbelievable about Solid's claim. 22kilos is about 48.5lbs. I don't know how tall he is so I can't compare his weight, but it looks as if he can do it for 6 reps.

After following the MAX-OT route for about a couple months now, I am currently doing 3x6 at 45lbs. Solid definitely has slightly bigger forearms than me and possibly slightly bigger biceps (couldn't tell in pic). I've been working out seriously for 1 year come September. I'm 5'11" and weigh a fluctuating 155-160 (maybe a little more now) and I have about 14% (maybe a little less now) bodyfat.

I also have used the wrist rollers and that is one of my favorite exercises. For those who haven't used one, it's like one of those cardboard pieces from paper towel rolls, with a hole it in attached to a rope to the floor and you add a weight to the end of the rope. Twist it up from the ground with arms perpendicular to the body then unwind it down. When I started, it was a strain at 5lbs, now I can go up and down once and sometimes twice at 25lbs. Amazing exercise.

It jumpstarted my barbell curls, explosively pumped up my forearms, and showed big increases after just about a month of using it. I only used it once a week and threw it in with my biceps + back day, but sometimes I threw it in again for a second time in the week. I don't see people use it often, but I completely recommend it either with or over wrist curls with dumbells or barbells.

I know it's not exactly a ton, you guys are just weak. In my pic I'm standing on a bit of an angle so I look smaller. I want to be curling 25kg in each hand by december. Also need to get my bench up now, it's been a bit weakened from all this db bench. I repped 75kg for 3 sets of 6.

I'm about 150lbs, 6-8 b/f, 5'11.

Is it just me or do a lot of ppl who workout have nice arms and stuff but not too many have a solid chest?

I dunno if that guy's claim is true or not. Actually I dont care, but I do barbell curls with around 105lbs (47,5kgs) which would be hardly more than what this guy curls, however I bench 115kgs for reps and Im pretty satisfied with my proportions.

How tall are you solid?just askin..

btw, im not trying to diss anybody but it seems to me that a lot of guys who I see at the gym or else where have good arms but that the rest of their body, especially their chests need a lot of catching up.

At this point you probably have a woman (or multiple women) chasing you around, calling you all the time, wanting to be with you. So let's talk about how to KEEP a woman interested in you once you have her. This is BIG! There is nothing worse than getting dumped by a woman that you really, really like.
