I fvcking hate those people...I want to rip their throats out...
You know you're building that testosterone when you're wanting to rip people's throats out. :)

As a habit, I replace them every 2-3 years, but keep the old ones so I can use those to add extra resistance as needed. I have a good collection and about 900ish lbs of resistance now.
Three years sounds like it might be a little long, but Idk. I have a couple of big sets. I used them mostly to rehab my shoulder a few years back, my rotator cuff was messed up.

I hear a lot of talk about men wanting to use the gym to meet women.
Usually that is discouraged when guys bring it up around here though.

I haven't put effort into making male friends either, honestly I could maybe use a few more. But for me, male friends are very dependent on us having similar hobbies or interests, so I either meet them or I don't. Frankly, it irritates me to have people dropping by when I have my day planned.

Did BPH just made a good post? Is Jesus coming back soon or what?

Just kidding. Awful post. Just kidding again. Good post bro.

If we look at male models they all have one thing in common; they're ripped. Some skinny some buffed, but ALWAYS ripped. Male models with great facial features might be on the skinny side but even those guys are always slim and fit. Once a man achieved a certain type of physique his smv will skyrocket. Period.

Daniel Craig is a good example imo. He is average looking at best BUT he was ripped while shooting those Bond movies. Due to his physique he became a sex symbol nevertheless.

Once you get in great shape you are basically male model tier by default. I've always done boxing and that's a world where coached are against weightlifting. Never touched a dumbell even though I was in absolute top shape. So now I'm doubling down on weightlifting and I use my ability to grind like a maniac in the gym. I'm blessed with good genetics so I get away with it.

But if you don't have an athletic background...boy oh boy. You better start hitting the gym religiously YESTERDAY. To me the gym is LITERALLY my church, as what a mosk is to a muslim. I need to be there every day even if it's just to walk om the treadmill.

This forum tends to overemphasize lifting weights. Lifting weights is good. I'm not crapping on it. This forum never talks about engaging in sports, either individual or team sports as a form of exercise along lifting weights.

I like some individual sports.

There are options like tennis, running, soccer, swimming, bicycle riding and basketball that are all good for fitness.
Because it's a seduction forum, and we've transitioned into an era where you cannot afford to not hit the gym if you wanna play along. This is what I tried to hammer home to Goodman ( who has the same mindset of some guys I know). They refuse to acknowledge that times have drastically changed and that their skinny feminine arms are out of fashion.

You should do both. A grown azz man must be able to run for 30 minutes without pausing, and he also should be able to lift let's say 225 lbs on the bench.

If anything this site should put MORE emphasis om weightlifting. It makes being a seducer 100 times easier. Google " gigolo " and tell me if there will be just one result showing a man with a dad bod...

Edit. I did the work. Here's a picture from a gigolo. download (7).jpeg

All emphasis is on his body. His face doesn't even matter. His clothes don't matter. Status doesn't matter. Just his body.

I used to be the type of man who believed that my " great personality " was what made me successful because I got away with it ,untill I didn't..

I'm actually kinda surprised at how lukewarm the reception has been to this post; alternatives, balance, not worth it, injury potential, shouldn't be there to make friends just work out, etc.

Oh well, I tried.

Yeah, it's the gym is the most uncomfortable topic to most men because it's extremely ungrategull at first. But unfortunately inceldom is running rampant. Men here are either completely open about their issues or completely shutdown and silent .

I would also like to see more topics about the foundations. I'd say that the foundation is like the gym, and the game is like cardio. Both are necessary to be successful.

I'm actually kinda surprised at how lukewarm the reception has been to this post; alternatives, balance, not worth it, injury potential, shouldn't be there to make friends just work out, etc.

Again, I believe the gym is life changing. In my gym there's everything I ever wished for; weights, a heavy bag, rings, and cardio machines. And these hot azz women is also not too bad..

On top of that I decided to ditch my earbuds. The edm music, the sounds of weights dropping ,it all belongs to the overall experience. And it's easier to make contact with people ( I didn't say women, but people).

Having said that,
- it's also one of the best ways for lone wolfs to connect
- you advertise yourself to tons of women
- you get to challenge yourself in ways you couldn't imagine
-*severly underrated point!* you be looking in the mirror constantly. When you DON'T work out you'll be actively avoiding the mirror.
-it forces you to either change your old or maintain your new identity .

You mean to get context as to the person replying that the gym isn't worth it? That's not actually the worst idea.

Bench: I don't know, I don't max out, I do 4x8x225lbs with 60 second rests. Hit 300lbs last year but my trainer told me not to hurt myself doing PRs.

Squat: I don't know, I do Leg Press for lower back health. 4x10x590lbs with 60 second rests, not sure what that translates to when you factor out the fact that it's a machine.

Deadlift: Don't do them anymore. Used to do 3 or 4x5 with 315lbs no problem.

Power Clean: Don't do them anymore, don't have the wrist flexibility. Only went up to about 185lbs on these.

Chin-Ups: 15 on the first set to failure, then about 8-11 after that for the other 3, 60 second rest between.

Overhead Press: Haven't done them in a while, used to do up to 185lbs on the work weight for these when I was on the program. Now I just do plate-loaded shoulder press, and I have 145lbs on each side for that.

Just a minute ago I hit 80 kg ( 196 lbs) for the first time.

On my to 225( 100 kg).

Hate squats, kinda scared of them..still I can do like 70 kilo.

Finally deadlift hit my bodyweight. 80 kg too.

Also hit a PR with the dumbell press today. 52 lbs dumbells. I feel a power transition.

Pulls up is my thing tho. Just got an golfer elbow before that I did 25 in a row.

70 push ups in a row.

19 round völ gas at the heavy bag. 30 minutes run at 8,5.

I am in my car so I can’t formulate, research, or put my thoughts together properly, but this was the main basis of how to ask for help in certain sub Reddit posts and their arguments as to why it was important to lift:

See a lot of on here. Dudes complaining and not even responding to half the advice they get. Here's a guideline, for anyone considering posting a question here.

Take a picture of yourself shirtless and print it out. On this piece of paper:

  • Write down your stats (height, weight, bf%, lifts). You are keeping a journal of your workouts right?
  • Write down all the books you have read in the sidebar and one sentence about what you learned from each one (even if you haven't finished it yet). What was your main takeaway from the other erroneous material referenced in TRP sidebar and here?
  • Get your testosterone levels checked and write them down
  • Write down your ratio of sexual initiations/rejections
  • Write down the number of women besides your wife you could call right now to chill this weekend
  • ****, write down the name of the last girl you flirted with who isn't your wife
  • Write down how many days over the past 15 you have actively gamed your wife
  • Write down two things you do that make you a good catch
  • Write down what you would do today if you did not have a wife/kids to go home to
  • Write down what Dread Level you are on
  • Write down how many more months you have to go until you are an attractive man with options
If you do this exercise and still don't have an answer to your dumb **** question, post it.

In all seriousness, every man on this forum should go to the gym. Outside of becoming rich and learning how to approach and talk to women, exercising and becoming physically fit is the easiest and fastest way to see a "return on investment" men it comes to getting girls. Short of being physically disabled, there's no reason you shouldn't be working out at least for the purpose of maintaining health. 24-hour gyms exist, home gyms exist, and you really only need about 1 hour 3-5 times per week to see significant changes in a pretty short time.

I have about a half hour before before my shift ends, so I want to write up a quick guide for total beginners.
  • Who?
    • You
  • What?
    • The gym
  • Where?
    • Ideally at the closest commercial gym to where you live
  • When?
    • 3-5 days per week
  • How?
    • By walking inside and doing the exercises
  • Why?
    • So you can get healthier and start sleeping with more women
First, some terminology for the newcomers:

Workout - A complete day of lifting. Finishing a workout means you have completed all reps and sets of the exercises you came to do that day.

Rep - Short for "repetition", referring to how many times a particular exercise motion is performed consecutively before finishing the exercise.

Set - How many times you repeat the amount of reps per exercise. For example, "4 sets of 10" would mean that you do 10 repetitions consecutively per set, 4 times over, for a total of 40 repetitions.

Failure - When no rep count is specified, that means you will perform the exercise until you no longer can. This is often the case with exercises that rely on your body weight, rather than resistance.

Form - Refers to correctly performing an exercise's motions. Form usually suffers when people try to add more weight to an exercise, believing themselves stronger, and compensating throughout the movement to complete the exercise, rather than complete it correctly.

Macros - Carbohydrates, fats, and proteins. It is worth noting that calories are NOT a macro, but a product of the amount of macros you ingest.

The Workout

Starting Strength Beginner Program: https://startingstrength.com/get-started/programs

I've recommended this before, I'll recommend it again. If you have no idea what you're doing in the gym yet, this is the simplest way to start. The basic concept is to alternate between 2 workouts, 3 days per week, comprised of only 3 exercises per day utilizing compound lifts. Compound lifts meaning that each exercise is stressing large/multiple muscle groups at the same time, meaning that you do not need to perform exercises to isolate a particular muscle group (squats are an example of a compound lift which works multiple muscle groups in your legs, while something like leg curls are not because they isolate the hamstrings and do not stress the quadriceps). From that point, you will seek to add between 5-10lbs to your lifts periodically until you reach a point where you cannot complete all reps/sets of that exercise if you were to add weight. This is called reaching a "plateau". If you are new to lifting, you will likely reach this point quickly, but will also move past it quickly.

Let's briefly go over the exercises:

Squat - https://www.youtube.com/shorts/PPmvh7gBTi0

Bench Press - https://www.youtube.com/shorts/hWbUlkb5Ms4

Press (Overhead Press) - https://www.youtube.com/shorts/zoN5EH50Dro

Deadlift - https://www.youtube.com/shorts/ZaTM37cfiDs

Power Clean - https://www.youtube.com/shorts/vI7Akim4dKM

Chin Up (NOT Pull Up) - https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Oi3bW9nQmGI

Outside of the actual exercises, diet will definitely come into play. The basic rule is to simply eat fewer calories if you're trying to lose weight, and more if you're trying to gain. A great way to track this is with a free app called MyFitnessPal: https://www.myfitnesspal.com/

If anybody has questions about this, or fitness/health in general as it pertains to the gym, I'd be happy to answer here.
Great post man. What do you think about doing 5x5? They say is for noobies but I don't know, I wanna do it for my legs, but that will be very heavy, I think.

Some people think there's a magic number, personally I don't.

Lower rep, higher weight is great for building strength, but by doing those extra sets you might have to reduce the amount of weight you're doing to complete the exercise.

At the end of the day none of it REALLY matters so long as you're progressively overloading your muscles more than last time. As long as it's difficult I'd say you're doing fine, but you're one of the guys on the forum I would trust to know that already, given your profile picture.

I might edit the OP to state what I currently do if anybody wants to follow that specifically. I wrote this the other day in a bit of a rush.

I wanna grow my legs man, I know I think I have some potential to make them bigger and with the tear drop showing some more. Any advice on that? I do the typical compound exercises. I had a pump in that picture btw. You got big legs? What do you do?

I don't think I have extremely muscular legs( I do train them like every other part but I don't pay that much attention to the look). My legs imo are " okay"/ good.

I do train and teach Muay thai though, so I really need strong legs that can take a blow. I run 4 times a week , do countless kicks on the heavy bag ( full power!!) and train my legs regularly witj weights.

I'll ask my friend who is an actual fitness instructor about this and report back tomorrow

I've got good legs, but for a natural. I believe you've stated before that you're on gear. Either way, your legs are huge so I think at a certain point you become limited by your genetics (muscle insertion for example) and your supplements.

I see a trainer once a month for weigh-ins and to tweak my diet and exercise routine every so often. If you want to go even further than where you are now I'd probably suggest going that route.

Not really, the mirror is misleading. What rep range do you typically go on squats?
When I went heavy (for me at the time, at least) I would do 3 sets of 5, and later on I would do 4 sets of 8.

Currently I just do Leg Press since it's easier on my back and knees and I don't end up with squat knots. I also don't have to buy extra gear like belts or knee wraps.

But you're at a point where I strongly encourage you to have that conversation with a trainer. You're well above what most people on this forum would be able to provide advice on in terms of fitness.
