These 2 commercials pretty much sum up the USA when it comes to relationships

Wow .......Arts.........the only REAL MAN left on SS.......the 16 year old high school junior......(checked your previous posts ........why are you even posting here?)......

So everything I have to say is just bitter gripes........

Hahaha......I'm soooooo bitter ......

I guess I'm just weak and stupid like all the other bitter delusional old batterers here on the forum......

I guess I've just made this all up to compensate for personal failure and weakness......

Hahahahahahahaha......I'm sooooo ashamed......

I guess all will be suddenly right and fair when I man up and stop being a p*ssy....

Hahahahahaha .......I'm soooo inadequate........

YGTBFSM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would LOVE to have this conversation again with you when you are 40.......

After life snares you in the traps that we cannot convince you are there......

After you see your guy friends miss out on college so more girls get in...

When some chick "claims" that you are the father of her kid and you have to pay support for 18 years for a kid that probably isn't yours and you have no say in the desision and probably no paternity test...

After you see your guy friends killed in questionable wars overseas....

When some girl who had drunken consentual sex with you at a party claims two weeks later that you raped her and you are arrested and charged on her word......

After you see your guy friends broken, ruined, homeless and essentially childless due to a skewed ridiculously unfair "no fault" divorce system...

After you see a girl abort your child and you have no say in the desision......

After you see your guy friends fired for a false sexual harrassment charge or jailed for a false DV or rape charge....

After you see your guy friends work away their youth chasing the goodlife for their familes that they somehow never quite get.....

After you see your guy friends miss out on promotions so that the "proper ratio" number of females can be met.....

Or worse you have any of these things happen to you....

Your own arrogance and ignorance is going to get you chewed up and spat out by the very things we are trying to warn you about.......

Our generation wandered into the minefield blind, we've experienced what we speak about ....and on this forum and others we are trying to let you know about it ahead of time so you know what you are getting into.........

I don't want things to go backwards I just would like society to move to 50/50 equality and fairness since I'm/we/men are paying for most all of it and the constitution is supposed to protect for it......

I hate to get sh!ty with anyone on the forum especially someone your age who could turn into a huge asset and a great guy but it would seem that civility went out the window somewhere on your last posts......

I liked the style mocking especially......hmmmm......hahahahahahahahahahaha.....

Over and Out.

Arts is the perfect example of what i meant by 'men dont take themselves too seriously'

Because if they do, they will be shamed into compliance, and ironically from other men.

I can undertand where arts is coming from, yeh it's tongue in cheek humour, but humour never the less created around the theme of ridiculing men to inflate sales to woman.

I don't find it funny but I dont find it repulsive enough to actually give a shi* past posting on this forum - That's the power of men also - we simply don't give a fuc* in most cases, hence why garbage like this washes our screens daily and the feminist shaming tactics are so easily deployed because; half the men dont give a shi*, another quarter couldn't care less - a small % actually agree with the premise of the advert (the truly lost) and the rest - make a stand.

The difference is, if this was female bashing, most if not all woman would show open objection - Hence has a collective women are better at maintining the gender bias and have many unknowing male supporters.

I believe the advertisers know this, hence they push this stuff out more and more, and if you object; prepare for different forms of shaming language.

In closing arts has a point, maybe it's because as men we are just above this shi* - Hence to me the premise of the advert is to cater to the stupid, if women are gullable enough to be 'sold' something on the back of shaming men, then so be it, more power to the organisation that developed the stratagy - it just re-affirms that a good % of woman are just gulllable materilistic princesses led by the coller - and maybe that is what 'most' men know - hence why we dont care that much, because we know she is going to subscribe, but we don't voice it - it's a hidden knowledge built up from experiance that simply knows ' this shi* is going to work, it shouldn't work but it does '.

Do i blame the market people or do I blame the MARKET - these people are simply created to a MARKET - in most cases than not to increase revenue and sales - if that means they have to flatter a few stupid ego's than so be it -

(all of the ADT commercials depict white guys as the burgler, aggressor, etc....NEVER a black male!)...
Are those the adverts that paint men out to be rapists and abusers, i.e he is only breaking into the woman’s home in broad daylight so he can have his wicked way with her. Even though the woman looks like a reject from catholic school.

Again another advert were men are abusers, women victims and you better buy this product or else. Fear mongering adverts to me are the worst, scum actually, even more so when they use men, white men like you stated, can never be black - to shift a product.

I can stomach the beer ones, but those security adverts really do take the pis*.

Also let's not forget about the most controversial adverts - the 'boys are stupid throw rocks at them' - T-shirts - Imagine that being reversed:

Blacks are stupid throw rocks at them
Woman are stupid throw rocks at them

It loses it's so called funny charm - Taking the piss out of white males is pretty much common, sadly. Maybe that's why we men don’t care that much because we have become almost desensitised to it.

The first two are alright. It doesn't depict white men as being "abusers." I mean, sure, the "robber" in the first advert is a white male, but who is the operator who calls the house? Also a white male.

Try to imagine if the "victim" in the commercial was male. Would that work for a marketing strategy? I don't think so. That's why I think that this is just normal advertising strategy rather than "ego-bloated" feminists trying to insult men.

In the third commercial, I am kind of annoyed with how the man says "It's okay" in such an understanding and happy manner. Seriously? Women's depiction of the perfect man is very off nowadays (Twilight...).

Arts almost every single commercial from that company is a white guy breaking into a home (and ADT) - the person on the recieving end is usually if not always - A woman or, a young child with a woman. Also the third video you mentiond, title 'The Ex' notice the emotive word of 'The Ex' - Again 'The Ex' being a Man - you heard the song about the woman smashing up her BF car because he cheated (I believe this got to number one, now reverse the genders) - Woman are capable of being the nut-case ex - but it's always black and white - male on female or male on young child with female. These adverts in principle demonise males to shift a product and victimise females - they are not ok - they go past the point of being tasteful in my book - people make a joke about those types of adverts because they are so extream - they are only normal because portraying males in a such a way is such a normal thing to do - we become desensitised to it, much like you are. If I had my way this cra* would be banned, woman are just has guilty of causing crime as men are, but for the shift of products men have to be used to emote a response, hence the use of 'The Ex' -

Yes if it was a male victim it wouldn't have the same impact (men can't be victims usually it's a woman or a child the victim of a man).

But I think your missing the point - the people are using scare tactics to shift a product - I never mentioned a feminist undertone, just a political correct one, derived very much from a society that has zero problems putting males on the firing lines.

In relation to those adverts, almost every single similier commercial is infact a white guy breaking into a home, also much like the adverts for child-line - depicting a wife beating abusing husband, and very rarely does it depict the mother to be an abuser if at all (even though it is evidenced that almost 50% of domestic abuse to children is by a woman) - it is always a man.

There is a serious undertone in commercials for male bashing, you are either ignorant to that fact or totally blind or clueless - Hell, no big deal the majority of men usually are - because they are sucked into the gender bias or the political correct mainstream.

Dont sweat it, but if your going to come into this forum and plead ignorance, your going to be challanged -

It is feminist inspired because women are given minority status, hence most laws governing minority races are applied to women - hence why males especcially white males are easy targets for adverts, because rather frankly not only are we free game, we also have to contend with guys like you stating 'all is ok' and your just being a feminst.

Shaming tactics aside Arts, there is an undercurrent of male centric bashing to shift products in the western world, your maybe blind to it, but simply reading this thread may open your eyes to some things you never saw before -

You may actually suprise yourself if you open your eyes.

Also not to mention the very easy to miss adverts, stuff like the husband being a buffoon and the wife coming along to save the day - Personnally I'm sick of that shi*, you can see one of those adverts almost daily in the UK.

ARTS' is a textbook example of the male double standard. If you speak up and point out a uniquely male injustice, well, you're just not Man enough to take it. If you hold your tongue and take it, well, then you're just a pussie for not speaking your mind like a Man should. All of the responsibility, none of the power = the perfect social convention.

These commercials are clever, but all you need to do is look into the eyes of this herb-beta ad exec and listen to his milquetoast monotone voice to see the face of what passes for modern masculinity. This is the Benedict Arnold of the masculine gender.
The ad exec sounds like Ray Romano, herb-beta hero of the masses of husbands stuck in a marriage with no power.

That commercial is poking fun at the avg american herb-beta male so if a woman buy's you old spice because of that commercial, what does it say she is thinking about you?! notice that the ad is targeting a man's product but the target audience are women?!

I am waiting for a clever beer spin from an ad exec with a woman looking like she just stepped out of playboy and say "hello men! how are you? fantastic! does your woman look like me?! no! well not to worry that's why you need to drink more beer and you can forget how your woman doesn't fit into a size 6 or wears sexy lingerie and can dance on a pole while cooking you good dinner at the same time!!"

You know feminists would start screaming "Its sexist and degrading commercial to women by men who think women are nothing but sexual objects!!"

At this point you probably have a woman (or multiple women) chasing you around, calling you all the time, wanting to be with you. So let's talk about how to KEEP a woman interested in you once you have her. This is BIG! There is nothing worse than getting dumped by a woman that you really, really like.

Not a tv commercial, but I saw the dating site "HerWay.com" - a dating site where only women can view profiles and initiate contact.

The big selling point this site pushes on women is "No Stalkers!!!"

Seems like bias to me.

Amen. People forget how much time and energy that goes into making commercials, every second counts and is there on purpose to display a message. These corona commercials are anti-men, on purpose, by design.

I vote with my wallet and will boycott corona, not that I buy that beer much anyway.

Guiness is a man's beer anyhow.

That's a very good point DJDamage. Proves further the arguement that men should "man up and take it", and how doing so has desensitized men by the feminists and their use of double standards.

My brother is in creative advertising as well. I once asked him about why it was humorous for all these commercials to show guys getting hit in the balls, but not girls getting hit in the vagina. He's like: 'Oh that's just the way it is, and it is funny.'

And I said: 'Well, why not have a commercial about a woman getting hit in her private area?'

He said: 'Oh you can't do that, she's a girl. That's different.'

Those who are in advertising subscribe to the view that: 'That's just the culture/market, so go along with it.'

Respectfully, this is not true.

As a man, I feel insulted. The mocking of masculinity has permeated just about every aspect of Western culture: at the workplace, in commercials, at clubs, etc.

Men are being disrespected.

Women seem to think that they DESERVE to make a man jump through hoops...she expects him to buy dinners, drinks, etc. BEFORE there's any talk whatsoever of sex! Oh, yeah: and she gets to make fun of him in the process...

Men fight the wars, but you NEVER hear about women getting together and showing any appreciation for it. My co-worker's wife delivered him a gift last week for his birthday...while I think he's stupid for being married, he's a lucky guy! You RARELY--if EVER--hear about a wife or a GF delivering a guy ANYTHING for his birthday...but god forbid should he not deliver her somethig for her birthday...or valentine's day...or kiss-her-a$$ day...LOL

What a fvucking joke!

Just imagine reversing the roles in all of these commericals...imagine Corona airing a commerical in which there's a WOMAN squirting a lime at her own face...imagine Miller Lite airing an ad that features a WOMAN ordering a drink from a male bartender and being made fun of in front of all the bar patrons for exhibiting male tendencies...or imagine, courtesy of Blackberry, a MAN punching a WOMAN in the face for delivering the wrong info...

How would women feel?

What it comes down to: MEN (especially white men!) are the ONLY demographic that commercials can safely poke fun at these days...commercials can't depict women being mistreated or ridiculed...it wouldn't be "politically correct"...nor can they depict a black guy breaking into a home (all of the home security commercials depicting white guys as the burgler, aggressor, etc....it's NEVER a black male!)...

Bottom line: White males are the new society scapegoat.
I gotta agree, but this is a more fitting statement. White males are the new society accepted scapegoat in advertising. Let's take your home break in commercial for example. If you showed a black woman, who's home was getting broken into by a black man, or a latino woman who's home was getting broken into by a latino man. I doubt there would be much public outcry. If they showed anyone of another race, there would be a fire storm and backlash. (personally I would find some yids breaking into a yid home to be a hilarious commercial which probably could be spun off into a sitcom) Since these security places are mainly targeting affluent white families and single white mothers as their primary market. They can't be seen saying its a racial issue. The way to defuse the racial issue is to have both people of the same ethnic background. Pretty obvious from a marketers point of view. Anything else is taking away from what the product is suppose to do, which is to protect your home from any invader regardless of color. Introducing "realities" into it will only muddy the water and bring the wrong kind of attention. Trust me, my ex used to watch every time those commercials came on, because as a woman, her thoughts go immediately to security. Mine would go to how fast I could get upstairs to get my gun and blow his brains out instead of waiting on Brinks to call.
