I can't stand the pop and dance music they're always playing at my gym.

for me, nothing beats U2's "Beautiful Day" to get me started on my first-thing-in-the-morning run, especially at 0600am on a sunny day. "Alive and Kicking" from the simple minds is also awesome.
after that i also love benny bennassi, the fratellis, green day, mos def's "Ghetto Rock", jimmy eat world's "The Middle" (probably the most motivational song in the history of music), ... and lots of other stuff

oh yeah!!
the crystal method is just crazy for running...
