I'd say aggravating a pimple starts from trying to pop it, which pushes it in further... or putting irritants (Ex: Benzyl Peroxide, Salycic Acid, Lotion, etc) on your face.guayaballer said:wont it agravate the acne yu already have?

of course some irritants will harm your face more than others. Benzyl Peroxide, and Salycic Acid are used to stop acne, but it is a irritant because it still has side-effects that will dry your face.
all brushing does it open your pores, and loosens dead skin so you can wash it off... doesn't involve putting anything on your face, or squeezing a pimple.

this isn't the original one i read long ago, but it has the same concept:
-"The official, baby brush method thread, for exfoliating, great results! You NEED to try this!"
http://www.acne.org/messageboard/index.php?showtopic=140618&hl=brush
but for better understanding of it all:
-Forums:
http://www.acne.org/messageboard/index.php?act=idx
-Site:
http://www.acne.org/
DO NOT BELIEVE EVERYTHING ON THAT SITE!
You know what irritates you and what doesn't, you know your body better than anyone else!
Think twice before you go and buy something and put it on your face!
---
(Another note:
- Like the OP said, 2.5% - 5% BP at most! But, I'd say go with 2.5% and expect results in a longer time span... higher % doesn't make it faster or better!
- 10% BP is a marketing tool to get fools to buy their "best products")
I'm just including that incase you go off and use them anyways, and so you don't waste your money if you DO buy them.
---
And if you feel like using BP (Benzyl Peroxide) during this brushing technique... don't do it until you face starts adapting to your new brushing technique... changing too many things at a time is bad... do it slowly.
Once your face starts getting smoother and clearer from brushing, start applying BP every other night... and not too much!
---
Brushing WILL make your face a bit drier at first... but you'll get used to it. If you look in the mirror after, you face will usually not even look dry at all... but it will feel dry a TINY bit.
That is why you don't want to use BP too early.

i said the sun thing relating it to that reply.danno1 said:stay out of the sun? I have been in the sun plenty and had no problems
just do what jonwon does; f*** doing some rotating scrubing with a toothbrush
I would say:green69 said:jonwon I have a couple questions. I remember in your previous post you said you won't listen to anyone who hasn't tried the things you listed...
Well I am using Benzaclin Gel (which has 2.5% BP i believe)
Starting take vitamins everyday
A couple glasses of water a day
Now, I am very interested in making that cream mixture of BP, erythromycin cream, and jojoba oil. However, my face is extremely sensitive and I notice a lot some things irritate my skin. For instance, I got a neutrogena exfoliating face wash and it burned and peeled my skin - I had to discontinue use. I was researching on the internet about erythromycin cream, and one of the potential side effects is that it might burn your face. Since I already know I have sensitive skin which is prone to inflamation...I think it might be best if I stayed away from it. However, if it is mixed in with jojoba oil and BP would it reduce its potentially negative effects on my face? or could I possibly mix the Benzaclin gel with the jojoba oil, leaving out the erythromycin cream? I realize it won't be as good as the cream with 3 ingredients, but it's better than nothing right?
Another thing is that I don't have a bad acne problem - it's mild. However, i do have a lot of white heads in certain areas of my face, and a lot of blackheads on my nose. And yes there are several tiny red pimples on my cheeks, and the occasional bigger one pops up from time to time. I notice everyone here concerned with acne/pimples and what not..but how does the cream you mention battle white heads and black heads? I have read this entire thread, and while I see people raving about its ability to eliminate acne, what about clearing white heads and general 'junk' on the face?
