I've been a lurker on these forums (and others…) for a while, and its been quite fun reading through the relics.

One strange thing I've noticed though.

The oldest members seem to be trapped. They put out books, run websites, blogs, etc and they seem to have infected their lives with RP branded projects.

The Rollo's, The Roosh's, The Whoever's. Why can't they leave this whole scene and live their lives?

Isn't the most illuminating reminder from all of this that you must live well? To be a true DJ, you must move through life? Their projects seem to trap them in a RP bubble. To limit their lives.

Lots of posters have come and gone (Pook, Anti-Dump...), but the guy's maintaining books and websites? It almost as if they've institutionalized themselves.

They can't seem to move on?

Surely once you know all this stuff, and especially if you're an advocate for it, you must eventually choose to live it? It should just be like breathing, never thought about, just an autonomous thing in the background.

Everyone should at some point be prepared to shed their skins, leave them behind - BE Don Juan, not just talk Don Juan - and live a fresh new life.

From what I can see lot of the sellers such as boot camp, and eboook are just business people. They got into it because they saw it as an opportunity to make money. They are just normal well adjusted people who never really had an problems to start with. What does p1ss mee off is the fraud and the lies some of these people tell. Like for eg "I was voted the least likely to get a hot girl" when in reality they are telling you bull$hit.

I wasn't really meaning posters here. I meant the guys that have created a RP brand as their job.

The way I see it, having a RP brand is just about the only job that you can't have if you actually practice what you preach.

(The pilot thing doesn't work, I tried to find an analogy to try and explain it as well but there aren't any...)

It's like this -

You come to the site as a Fireman, you learn everything DJ! - you now move through life as a DJ Fireman.

You come to the site as a Pilot, you learn everything DJ! - you now move through life as a DJ Pilot.

You come to the site as a Businessman, you learn everything DJ! - you now move through life as a DJ Businessman.

But -

You come to the site as an AFC, you learn everything DJ! - you now decide you will republish everything DJ! You don't move through life, you are trapped in a loop. Like an implosion.

It's impossible to live with any congruence if you make that choice surely? It makes them illegitimate. They don't 'DJ!'
