I still think they are not going to bring Joker back for the third movie. Because well let's face it. Rachel Dawes character. They changed actresses in subsequent movies. For me, I didn't feel too connected with the character because I was trying to get used to a totally different (and more talented) actress.

So imagine if they did with The Joker. First off, Ledger fanboys will be pissed off. Second, it would like very sleazy on Nolan as a director because now he is just trying to milk the cash cow by having Joker in a batman movie. Finally, it wouldn't make for a great story line (and possibly final movie of trilogy) because the whole "everything is going to be blown up" schema plays out again in the entire movie while Joker is on the loose.

Oh, whoever said they're going to bring a might warrior to battle Batman....

What if it's Superman (Routh)?

Unrealistic I know because Superman would kill Batman instantly by just throwing a building at him but still...

Actually, I think they might bring Two Face back or introduce The Riddler. I could see Depp playing The Riddler.

There has been a lot of talk about a Superman v.s. Batman movie for a couple years now and it was only fueled some more by the fictional movie poster in "I Am Legend". Everyone at DC and Warner Bros. Entertainment knows about the hype too and anytime that someone from either company is asked about a possible Batman v.s. Superman movie in the works, they either make a joke or give an indirect answer. So, it wouldn't be too surprising if they made a Batman v.s. Superman movie in the near future. My guess would be around 2012, which gives them enough time to hype Superman up to be near Batman's hype that even casual movie goers would be excited about it. It also gives them enough time to release the Justice League movie which could definitely build up toward the Batman v.s. Superman movie

Actually, Batman defeated Superman in the comic books. I'm not exactly sure how as I have only read about the comic book, but what I remember about it is that Batman always suspected Superman would go crazy someday for some reason or another and kept a piece of kryptonite for himself - just in case he did.

I thought that too, but I don't think Depp would be the guy to choose for The Riddler. You would need a real comedian for that role, because you have to understand that The Riddler isn't really a crazy villain like The Joker is. He's more of a re-incarnation of The Joker minus the crazy-ness and skitzophrenia. He's not as psychopathic, just revengeful toward Wayne enterprises and later Batman. You need a comedian, because he can't be seen as a serious character. He never was seen as a serious character. Not even in the comic books. Always more of a side kick. I don't think Depp could pull that off.

I can't really think of anyone else who would be good for the role (besides Jim Carrey who I'm sure would decline the offer to do another Batman movie) but off the top of my head, Dane Cook. I don't really think he'd be good for the role, but he's one of the funniest comedians around right now.
