What's up everyone hope y'all had a great weekend.

Anybody has any experience with the carnivore diet?

Every video about it got hundreds of positive comments saying that people lost weight, skin looked better ,full of energy ect. Very bot like. I need some confirmation. I saw one about the eggs and steak diet for example.

Is it really that great?

I've heard a lot of good things about it and surprisingly even the Harvard study that looked at it closer came away with positive thoughts on it...

Never tried it tho

Why didn't you try it yet? You seem like the type who would try this.

@Gamisch the reason is a diet of meat, fish, eggs and dairy (carnivore) is loaded with omega-3 fatty acids which on a personal level improved my health in so many ways AND my skin, my complexion, I cannot say enough good things about it!

It also throws your body into ketosis, so your body starts burning fat energy versus carbohydrates.

It's similar to the keto diet except a bit more limiting in what you can eat.

Ɓe sure to drink lots and LOTS of water, it can be tricky to manage so please be careful with it.

Tbh you sound just like 70% of commenters. I have to give it a try . Kinda bugs me that the ig industry doesn't talk about it but I can imagine they want us to keep giving into buying strawberry cakes with whipped cream and oreos because they make money .

One thing that kinda made me doubt was the mentioning of boredom. Do you have any recommendations on how to keep the diet diverse and fun?

Does this mean no fruit and vegetables at all? No oatmeal breakfast? No bread?

Well I'm not on the diet myself BUT I do eat lots of fish, eggs and lamb, beef occasionally which are all loaded with the omega-3s.

Salmon, sardines, trout are especially high and you can saute in butter with herbs or grill, same with meat. Fruits and veggies are definitely not allowed, it's strictly only animals products.

I do eat bread on occasion and lots of fruits and veggies but yeah I imagine a strict carnivore would be quite boring!

It's not a lifestyle it's only supposed to be for a limited time, that's my understanding.

Try googling for different recipes!

Good luck with it.

Humans are omnivores, not carnivores. You need fiber of some sort, otherwise:

Yeah that's why I said to drink lots of water!

I read a story about a man who became so constipated, he had to have the buildup of his feces surgically removed!

Apologies if TMI but best to follow for a limited time not as a lifestyle.

I think our need for fiber relates to the way that bacteria in the digestive system consume it in order to produce the necessary enzymes for digestion.

I have tried it for a couple of weeks. The positive effects seems to be true for me, except for the energy part. I personally could not handle the diet without carbs. I seem to have really low energy without the carbs. Now I fast, just one meal a day. I would guess 30% carbs. Seems to have the same positive effects mentioned for carnivore diet. It would take a week or two to get into the groove. After that it is smooth sailing.

Do not be too easy. If you are too easy to get, she will not want you. If you are too easy to keep, she will lose interest in you. If you are too easy to control, she will not respect you.

Hi Gamisch,
I believe we have evolved/adapted to thrive on the diet of our ancestors and should consider that.....If you opt for a carniverous diet, then protect yourself by marinating your red meat in cheap wine overnight, discard the liquid and don't blacken the meat while cooking.

Don’t do it OP. It’s a good way to die earlier.

We are omnivores, albeit it closer to the grass eaters than the meat eaters. You should be eating a ton of fruits and vegetables. Be prudent with your animal based protein sources (fish and lean meats).

Hi Sega,
" I read a story about a man who became so constipated, he had to have the buildup of his feces surgically removed! "......I blocked my bowels once after eating a pound of Brazil Nuts....I first tried eating a whole Sweet Potato/Yam,that usually works, but Nuts are stubborn a Naturopath then suggested Slippery Elm Bark, well that stuff is amazing, out it all came, seemingly wrapped in a gelatinous membrane...Five years or so after that I had a Sixteen Years Old Dog with a similar problem,After 16 Hours unconscious but moaning Kids around it crying I decided to end her Days, but on a whim, I rang a Veterinary Friend for advice...He said No and advised the following...we got half a Cup of Ground meat and Water,Boiled it put the savoury mix to the Dogs Nose and let the savoury odours waft into her nostrils, she sniffed, flicked her eyes and showed signs of activity....So one of the Girls poured a little of the Liquor into her mouth, legs started moving,Then We poured some diluted Slippery Elm in...Remembering my Dads War Time Experience with a Drunken Ships Medical Orderly,The Kids and I Stood the Old Girl Up And Supporting her Got her up staggering maybe 200 Paces, then an incredible Fart and she passed a Motion....that sixteen year old Dog lasted a further eighteen Months.
