When reading the title of the thread most people presume its the mean. Where did it say the 'median' in the title?
5 seconds with google will get a link to the study, which is done by the National Center for Health Statistics and the summary states median 4 and median 7, women and men respectively. Median is almost always used because it's a better representative value than mean in most non-Gaussian distributions of data.

To come up with your broken-ass argument, one would have to assume the good people at the National Center for Health Statistics hired a bunch of scientists whose grasp of math is worse than a bright fifth grader to do the analysis. Then those idiots published a paper for peer review with horribly broken math.

If that seems likely to one, then I'd say one is of diminished mental capacity.

There have been some solid arguments against the numbers but yours was not one of that group.

What's the average for men that are good with women, attractive women, and then all others? 7 & 4 might be sound numbers for those who aren't desirable or that lack game.

In my last post I've shown how you have made yourself look like an idiot. :D

Your behaviour is seriously AFC. Wanting to be right, argueing and insulting people over figures and getting worked up over it. You're also trying to get an ego boost by trying to make others look below you but thats not working and its real AFC behaviour.

You need to ask yourself WHY this is happening. You've been a member of SS since feb 07 and you're still acting AFC. If you need any advise in understanding it better and breaking out of that mentality just ask.

Not wanting to be right, it's being right and knowing it. There's nothing average about me that matters ;)

I think the data also included people of all ages (you should check if you care), so (1) some are not finished playing humpity hump and (2) some came from a more conservative time. The NCHS study was very specific; What is the number of sex partners for Americans age X-Y.

Not "lifetime"* partners or whatever, it's simply walk out your door, look at a woman, if she's typical, she's been ridden by 4 guys. Obviously statistics do not REALLY predict individual outcomes, but you get the idea.

*As in, not predicting. It's so far in their lifetime IIRC.

Don't always be the one putting yourself out for her. Don't always be the one putting all the effort and work into the relationship. Let her, and expect her, to treat you as well as you treat her, and to improve the quality of your life.
