So ive lately been seeing more and more guys my age taking testosterone supplements into their diet along with their workout routines. and ive seen with my own eyes these guys get bigger over a period of 2-3 months.

What are your guys' opinions, advice, recommendations, etc. ?

My advice is if you are 16 DO NOT waste your time on it. Concentrate on important things like perfecting your diet, having a good strength based workout, being consistent getting to the gym, and getting all your meals in everyday. Things like that are totally unnecessary at your stage. It takes a LONG time to build a truly magnificent body and years of hard work for most people.

What is your diet and routine?

Yeah agree with Stallion.

Although, saturated fat will increase testosterone levels.

Stuff like cheese, eggs, and red meat are all good sources of protein and calories as well as fat.

if you are 16 and need a testosterone supplement to grow, then weight gain is the least of your problems.

If you have low testosterone or fill like you do go get your blood sample and see for yourself. If your over 500 (even though 350 is the limit blah blah) then your fine, if under...try more natural test boosting ways like eating, training, no smoking, limit your drinking, ect.

But if your over 500 or so then dont worry about taking test pills, i used to take them and know a good bit about them, and at 16 all its going to do is give you gyno and make you fat, make you angry, and you will lose your erection, but be my guest.

Since your body has the testosterone guaranteed from outside sources, it will stop producing it.
They say it's hard to restore the natural production...

Also ,too much of it causes some nasty side effects. Check it out on google and ask for a doctor's opinion.

WHere I'm from, there are sometimes bashings in clubs and on the street which are blamed on roid rage (I'm sure it's universal but defence barristers here seem to have taken a liking to the idea of late). the perps rarely look like they've spent any serious time in the gym. Don't take shortcuts cos you might be cut short. And I will recognise you by your nasty acne and tiny little legs.

There's been a misunderstanding, since you said guys you know have taken Testosterone supplements we assumed you meant anabolics and test. injections. ie. steroids.

If you want to take ZMA, go for it. I take that stuff and it's one of the few supps I take that I actually do notice a difference.

Dude, these aren't so much testosterone supplements as they are general health supps.

ZMA is, in laymans terms, a blend of zinc/magnesium/vitamin B12.

I'd say for sure take ZMA, a multivitamin, and a good fish oil. Take Whey protein if you want. That's all you'll really need though. Eat plenty of red meats and whole eggs. Combine that with a solid workout program and you're ready to go.

can't be bothered checking but ZMA is probably more expensive than the sum of its parts. zinc supps supposedly combat acne although i can't really test this theory myself
natural test.: the best test forget the rest

I don't think it is unless you buy the cheap, poorly absorbed versions of zinc and magnesium.

I've been taking Biotest Tribex, and have found noticable improvements in bulking up since I started. This product is also made from naturals ingredients, herbs and oats would you believe.

I'm going to have a look at that. Thanks for posting, and for not being rude like certain other people in this thread (ahem).

Bit late but ZMA is wicked. You sleep better and tend towards the horny side as well. Did tribex before and it didn't do anything but I wasn't lifting so it doesn't count. ZMA just for what it does for sleep is amazing. I may try tribex again just to see what happens if you are lifting.

Well:

a dietary supplement claimed to increase the body's natural testosterone levels and thereby improve male sexual performance and help build muscle. T. terrestris has consistently failed to increase testosterone levels in controlled studies.[2][3][4] It has also failed to demonstrate strength-enhancing properties.[5] However, many supplement brands such as 4Ever Fit and InterACTIVE Nutrition sold products that combines various herbs with tribulus terrestis, which has been a debate whether the effects are true or false.

I rest better because of it but as for boosting strength gains I started too many supplements at the same time to give you a clear answer of whether or not it helps. I will rehash some as well, you must eat well and have plenty of nutrients for anything to happen so if you are still eating bad food with no extra nutrition then you won't see anything major, period. Supplements are just part of a bigger picture. Also, don't jack around with 'em either, do what the bottle says for month and try not to change anything else, that way you know whether or not the supplement helps.
