You only need to chug a protein shake before or after your work out and 5 meals per day isn't so bad and you can replace one or two of these with a slow release protein shake. As for being short, it's surely better to be short and ripped than short and skinny or fat.
The amount of protein I've been told is necessary is in the range of 150-200 grams PER DAY.
Even the biggest, most protein rich meals rarely exceed 50 grams of protein.
You have to eat HUGE amounts of food and taking lots of supplementation.
You can't even have the same TYPE of protein. It has to be a mixture between various meats, protein shakes and eggs.
It costs money to eat like this, and it's time consuming trying to shop around to get all the right ingredients at the right time, so you can be eating 150 grams of protein per day.
Then you have to worry about the right kind of carbs, fruit and vegetables, supplements of this and that to enhance protein digestion, blah blah.
You can easily spend several hundred dollars a month on this, and large amounts of time.
I'd rather spend that money on a prostitute and get up-front sex.

There's this big misconception that if you want to be in shape you have to eat and train like a pro-bodybuilder. That's not true at all.
Well I tried your way.
I tried eating more protein, and I worked out 3 times a week, and gave my muscles sufficient time to rest and recuperate.
And guess what happened? Nothing.
In my opinion, body building is for the genetically gifted, the same as height, sports ability, a good singing voice, etc.
