blinkwatt, now your just being a clown. perhaps i shouldnt have been so civil.

there are undoubteduly many people on this forum who have better physiques than you, or, more appropriately, have come closer to achieving their goals than you have yours. we dont all want to be 150lbs with a 6-pack or pose in a thong for some closet homosexuals.

if you honestly consider yourself to have a tiop physique (at 19 years old no less), your view of the ocmpetition is incredibly narrow, and you will be disappointed.

how do you want me to prove that 2/week is better than 1? Ive had much better results on 5x5 than a typical push/pull split. what the hell does that prove? stop being dumb.

I'm not gonna jump in on the personal stuff here because I have nothing against anyone involved and everyone has their own goals, but...

Very true. The idea of training is to train as frequently as possible, as far as your recovery allows. Therefore, if you can get away with squatting 3x a week, you should fvcking well do it. Equally, if you're a genetic freak whose body recovers well enough to train 5 days a week, there's no reason you should do it.

The ultimate piece of advice in this thread should be don't try to curl your way to big arms...squat, deadlift, bench and chinup your way there instead..

Who cares? Blinkwatt is a tad small for 5'8, but so what?
Blinkwatt cares. He's the one that gets very insecure when I point it out. His advice is crap, and it can very well be demonstrated by his experience it's bad. If he wants to be cut, he needs to learn to shut the hell up about lifting weights. Getting cut is a diet tactic and lifting weights is pretty much irrelevant. Let him stick to giving diet advice, but even the diet advice I've seen him give was complete vague, easily regurgitated crap, like "eat lots of protein" <<< Very stellar advice. lol.

He obviously doesn't care,
He cares. Isn't that obvious? If he wasn't so insecure and DEEP DOWN ASHAMED of his size he wouldn't get upset when I point it out.

I dislocated my knee the other day playing softball. Will deadlifting make the swelling go down?

Wow now here is a thread that has gotten slightly sidetracked!

Anyways, back to dot's original question.

You are 2 inches round at the skinniest part of your arm??? Holy shyt. My **** is larger than that!

But seriously, I've got your same skinny arm syndrome, and it's just the way we're built dude. I'm barely 10 more pounds than you, and about an inch or two shorter. I presume your 2" girth is at your wrist? I'll tell ya, I got some skinny wrists, but if you start out with major compounds and concentrate (over the long term!!!) on increasing your weight, you will gain size in your biceps/triceps & forearms. Increasing the size in those areas will make your wrists look better. But the truth is, your wrists will always be skinny man, not much you can do about that. Concentrate on the stuff that is under your control.

Lift, and lift heavy, and don't fixate on the parts of your body you aren't happy about...and that you can't do shyt about..

Strength building/lifting, is more mental that you can imagine. Most of all, work on that self-image. Without self image, you are nothing but a waste of skin.

Just my humble opinion. Important disclaimer in light of where this thread is headed

At this point you probably have a woman (or multiple women) chasing you around, calling you all the time, wanting to be with you. So let's talk about how to KEEP a woman interested in you once you have her. This is BIG! There is nothing worse than getting dumped by a woman that you really, really like.

TO THE OP:

disregard any other advice in this thread, the deadlift is all you need to make your man arms, and of course proper nutrition
Of course K7 is correct....but, you can do all the DL's in the book for years but if your head isn't screwed on right, you'll never be happy with your arms.

Ins, I'm assuming he meant 2" in WIDTH, not girth. I hope...

As for building up your forearms, and arms in general...

Pull Ups,
Deadlifts
Grip work
Hammer Curls
Bench
Dips

Once you get into seriously heavy lifting, your grip, and in turn probably your forarms will begin to grow. If you want to target them specifically, get a forarm roller, grippers, and do some reverse preacher curls, overhand grip deadlifts, and hammer curls.

If your biggest concern is your lower portion of your arm just go rock climbing a lot. This also strengthens all the muscles in your hands and wrists which is what I think you were asking about?

Actually rock climbing works your entire body and is some of the best excersise I have ever gotten. I have never been in better shape than when I'm in heavy climbing phases.

Maybe I'll try that. I used to hate rock climbing (heights mainly), but I tried it once a year ago on a small wall and it was fun.

Thx to everyone for their suggestions.

To clear things up, the 2 inches is the width from the top side of the forearm (hairier, less sensitive side), not girth. And from the underside it's 2.5 inches. Weird, but either way I think my arms look skinny from the front. I think I am generally light and I need to put on more pounds overall. Yeah I'll learn to stop worrying about it. I used to worry about the dumbest things, looking back. Now I can't even remember all of them.

try weighted masturbating, it really builds up your forearm and grip strength.

I have very skinny forearms, 2 inches at the skinniest part. Im about 5'10". I have no idea how much I weigh. just turned 16.

How can I get them wider? I don't want to put on fat though.

I eat a lot, more than some of my bigger friends, and still I'm skinny. I tend to eat healthier than them too. They'll eat Mcdonalds sometimes, and other stuff like that. Where I give in is snacks. I often get a snack towards the end of school, usually candy or microwaveable food. What something healthy I can buy at walgreens, that would be good for a cheap snack afterschool?

Lift big, eat huge.
