A red flag that she wasnt using birth control ( I'm assuming she didn't ).But who here hasn't made bad choices. Her's has a bigger consequence of course but it sounds like she is trying to make her life better by going to school etc, not deciding to be a welfare mom.

At the end of the day it's your life, your choices and its up to you where you want to go with this. No one here knows her, and lumping her into a statistic based on preconceived notions about someone we don't know isn't going to help you make a decision. Go by her actions, she will go by yours as well. Consider what you want out of this situation, and is it compatible with what she wants (based on her actions). That's all anyone can really consider in any dating situation, single mom or not.

There is nothing wrong with dating single moms, it's just like any chick out there... you have to filter out the bad ones. The down-side is if you find a 'good one', she will always put her kids first, and will make an effort to keep the father of the kids around... so you will have to deal with that BS. In addition, you have to be willing to accommodate her schedule with that of her kids. SInce I'm raising kids on my own, I understand the problem. It's hard to date and find time alone with kids you have to deal with on both sides. One of the women I'm seeing now has kids... we haven't been out in over 3 weeks because we just can't make the time work. The other two I'm seeing are single with no kids, and if something comes up at the last minute, the only thing they have to worry about is if they have other plans they can't change. They can usually go at the drop of a hat. With CC... well... I have to plan at least a week out, and then you never know if something isn't going to come up with a sick kid or something else... the more kids she has... the harder it is to plan.

There are fewer 'good ones' that are single moms, so it takes some effort to find them. But if you are a man that has a hard time with NOT getting emotionally attached to chicks, then I would recommend you stay away from dating single moms, but if you can control your emotions, and have no problem walking away from a bad situation then go ahead. You get them alone and they are just like any other chick you might date. All women look for relationships, and single moms more so than others, so they can get clingy... you should NEVER lead them on, if you are not looking for something exclusive make sure she understands this up front and don't change your frame. There are single moms out there that ARE NOT interested in relationships... they just want time away from being a mom and are happy with causal situations. These women suit me, and when I find one... things are fine.

I think people generalize a lot about that subject, but there is a point. If you go for a single mom then be sure to figure out why she's a single mom. Was it her or was the father really a piece of sh!t. They're single moms for a reason, be sure you know the truth about why or you risk walking into a trap.

I was talking to this absolute BABE of a single mom on a dating app. I started digging a bit, after she let her guard down. Asked about siblings, does she have family nearby etc.

Siblings galore; half siblings, full siblings, siblings she doesn't speak with. Parents divorced and living in different areas. Sisters divorced etc...
She's living out of a big house, has her own in home gym, and isn't hardly working - e.g. her poor ex husband is footing an absolutely MASSIVE bill.

I think the point is, sure go for the single moms, but be very very careful, and perhaps they are better for short term relationships. Take your time with them, don't rush into anything
