Well im not actually on the N large at the moment, im on Myopro Whey.

Heres the lowdown on why i might switch back to n large - you get 2.5kgs of the stuff for 48euro over here in ireland (working out and supps arent at all popular over here!) while 900g of Myopro Whey is 33euro - thats three times as much n large for 15euro more than a 900g tub of myopro - follow?! :)

Im not on EAS Myopro coz ellis says so, its the only QUALITY product my health food shop stocks, its either that or 'Nutrisport Whey' which is dodgy, i think! :)

Next update on monday, thanks for the interest!
pound for pound - whey & rolled oats are way cheaper and less processed than n-large or any other bulking supplement. If you've got the funds and want something to drink instantly I'd say stick to your bulking supps. As a reference - I bulked from 140 to 210 over 3 years and my primary bulking food was whey protein, plain rolled oats & splenda.

The quality is the amount of protein in %.

Anyways, it is up to you what you buy, but don't buy too much into the commercial stuff.

No prob, nothing gives more motivation than people trying to reach a goal. Happy bulking :)
Contents may be the same, but taste and smoothness vary widely. If you can stomach anything then thats great, but it just makes the diet that little bit easier to buy the non clumpy non cardboard tasting stuff.

Week 2.

I get on the electronic scales in my house and I register at 162 lbs. Hurrah. I double check and now I weigh in at 161.0 so I'm going to stick with that.

Gained +2.5 which aint too bad considering I ate fuk all on friday cause I was walking up mountains all fricken day picking shrooms, then on saturday I was drinking all night and on sunday I ended up getting wasted and trashing my friends house and feeling like shít the next day.

My workout felt a bit *****ish today though so I have to wonder if I'm gonna feel sore tomorrow or not.
Changes I've noticed so far are that my abs are totally visible and looking very nice but only when I clench them. My pecs have come on a decent amount and I'm getting those handles above my thighs which I always get after a few workouts.

Also I'm as horny as fúck and my apathy is leaving me bit by bit.

Ah I just got it there. Damn popup blocker must have stopped it from notifying me. Anyways no worries man I think I'm better off keeping my goals written down anyway.

Thanks ronny! :)

Ive been doing a lil research today on two things:

1) Have a look at: http://hfhomefitnesscentre.com/products.php?category=Free Weights# and tell em what ya think of the olympic barbell set, is it a good buy? They dont say much about it! :(

2) Nutrisport Whey 90+ is said to have casein in it, can u guys do a little research for me and let me know if its worth getting? (its much cheaper than myopro!)

Thanks

You should just join a gym and forget buying the weights yourself.

Great work silverwex! That's almost ten pounds in four weeks! You may not notice any difference but people around you will. I have gained 30 pounds and haven't noticed much change except if I really struggle to remeber how my bones were showing, but people around is like.. wtf!!! The changes come so slow. Do you have any pic of you?

To be honest I don't know so much about barbells and stuff for home use. I am considering buying some eequipment for myself too. Be prepared that the weights will differ in weight (probably lighter so people feel stronger and buy their brand).

Buying whey is a gamble, just buy a can and see what you think :]

Phrozen: Actually the cheaper variant is one of the best tasting whey I have tried. Have only tried ONs vanilla and dalblads but the taste of dalblads is much better.

Those weights look good to me, although the olympic set is sure to be a lot more than you would need at this stage so I wouldn't spend so much. I'd also suggest heavy lifting be done only with a spotter.

I have to travel into the city to the nearest gym so I have free weights and a bench at home, and I just visit the uni gym once per week. I figure as long as the weight taxes your muscles, you're going to get results.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the comments.

Got my bro to get me an EZ Reverse Curl bar and tricep bar yesterday (as I couldnt get it in my home town!). Also getting two 15kg weights for free off my sisters boyfriend (hes a fukn monster and apparently was a 'skinny guy' when he was my age!) :)

Im gonna use the EZ Reverse Curl bar on bicep day (friday for me) but when should I use the tricep bar, if at all, considering im using the skinnyguy programme?

Hey Jariel, unfortunately there was a mistake re: the weights. It was a new site and it stated '140kg Olympic Barbell Set for 99 Euro! '... it shoulda been 325 euro!

***Weight update for Week 8 on Monday!***

Holy **** man! Good on you! That's nearly 20 pound since you started. 5 pounds in 2 weeks is what someone on roids will grow.

Are you building a gym at home?

Yeah take a week off and stuff your mouth full and you'll come back stronger than ever. Do you have any pics, before after? It would give people inspiration. The more people who change the more will be inspired.

Keep up the outstanding work.

Hey Lifeforce,

Thanks for the reply.

I couldnt believe it myself and yes Im weighing myself with the EXACT same clothes every 2 weeks so I wasnt wearing a huge wolly jumper this week while I was on the scales! :)

Yeah I have a home gym, well if you could call it that! Its basically:

- Barbell
- EZ Reverse Curl Bar
- Bench with lat bar pulldown
- About 70kg in weights
- Dumbells

That's it! And I got nearly everything for FREE off family and friends! :D

I cant really explain how I managed to put on 5 lbs in 2 weeks tho, some guys here wont believe me but I dont care.

I basically eating 6 meals a day without fail, maybe relying a bit too much on the protein shakes!
