Men frequently err by talking too much. They often monopolize conversations, droning on and on about topics that bore women to tears. They think they're impressing the women when, in reality, they're depressing the women.

welcome to my world
hey Shezzler,

i'll definitely do this, except, the 50-100 greetings are a bit crazy. imo, i don't have any confidence issues, so greeting lots of people wouldn't really help or hurt my confidence level. besides that, i don't even see that many people in a day. that's one of the advantages you have, living in a bigger city.

and really fear of approaching is not an issue. actually, since getting over the fear, i began to feel there was no point to approaching. i started taking opportunities that just came by, and one or two girls approached me; i got one or two makeout sessions, but they were hb5-6s at best. so i've realized i need to sarge (put in effort) to do better, and i can do better.

i like some of the ideas you put though. what i really want is to get some decent or better looking fvck buddies, and have fun all the while.

i like the idea of purposely approaching a girl with a bf...that sounds like fun. :D

so count me in too. but forget the greetings...i don't have the time or available population for that. for the most part i'll be doing approaches, and whatever other crazy things are suggested :woo:

i actually got your PM last night...and i thought you were joking about 'your bootcamp' but thought i'd just do approaches anyway. what the heck. i did two today, and here they are:

approach1, hb7:

girl was walking towards me, in opposite direction. i made eyecontact, and she held it for a few seconds actually, and smiled. so i smiled back, and said "hey" then snapped my fingers to stop her. i know, kind of corny. anyway, i said...

me: hey, to be honest with you...i hate letting opportunities pass me by...i was interested in getting to know you, you know, if you have time today...(sorry, that's all i could come up with on the fly)

she was smiling and making heavy eyecontact, but i knew why...and she said "sorry, but i have a boyfriend." then she said, "but that was nice, thanks"

approach2, hb8:

at wendys, eating lunch with my friend, the girl is sitting behind our table...i couldn't see her at first, but my friend says she's cute. so as we're leaving, i approach in a friendly manner, and say "hey"

she smiled, and i say "are you here by yourself." she says "yeah." so i asked, "what's your name" and she tells me, so then i introduce myself, and we shake hands. then i ask, "are you single?" and she blushes, and says, "sorry, i have a bf." so i smile and say "that's too bad, take it easy then." and leave.

i didn't have much time for either of these approaches...otherwise they're not usually crap. although, i admit i may be a bit rusty (used to be pretty smooth), so i guess i'll read all those articles, and see if i can add some finesse to my game.

good luck to everyone else.

my bad fellas i got in late last night but neways heres's how my first day went

I didn't have to work yesterday because of an all staff picnic. so at about 12 i went to the mall with my cousin. I told him, Today i going to be extra friendly to everyone I saw. So we walk in through JC Pennys and I start off slow and gradually get to the point where i saying hi to everyone, seriously i think i said hi to everyone on the mall. That **** was silly as hell. But it was kinda fun. And for some reason in put me in a good mood.

as for approaches i had 3

Approach 1:
Me and my cousin both work at the same place so we were at the mall gettin some things for the all staff picnic. we stopped by the airbrush place and got some tshirts airbrushed. I got a superman logo on my shirt and my cousin got a batman logo on his. i got mine done first so while waiting for his to get done i stood outside the store. A couple of cute girls walk by i make eye contact with one of them and say hi she smiles and says hi back, but i dont do anything. I just stand their like a pusssy. Then I thought about what i had posted early that i just dont give a fcuk. So i tell my self they next girl that walks by i going to talk to her. SO what happens, the next girl that walks in my direction is, i guess u could say a HB8.5. She was bad as hell. I make eye contact, hold it, smile and when she was about 10ft away from me , i was a little hesitant but i say,

Me: hey, how you doing today?
her: I'm good and u?
Me: Oh i feelin great but i do need your opinion on one thing.
her : and what's that?
Me: Which is better, Superman or batman?
she laughs
She: what?
I show her my shirt and point to my cousins shirt through the window.
Her: Oh,well then superman of course. what u think u superman or somethin?
Me: Naw that's just what everybody who knows me calls me. So when u get to know me better u can call me superman too.
her: and waht makes u think i wanna get to know u better?
me: be serious now, how could you not wanna get to know me better , i am superman.
her : U right
we both laugh
Her: what are the shirts for
Me: me and cousin just tryin to be silly wh go to our all staff picnic at work today:
Her: where u work?
Me: The henry ford Musem
Her: how long u been working their.
me: about 5 months but won't be their much longer
her: y not
me: i leave for school in about 4 weeks
her: oh u college what year u in.
me: well this will be my first year
her: so waht u just graduated from high school. wait a minute how old are u?
me: i'm 17
her: be serious
me: naw for real i'm 17
her: u gone get me in trouble
me:y waht up
her: I'm 23
i grab both of her hands
me: waht that mean?
her: it mean u anit even legal yet.
me: but shouldnt stop us from gettin to know each a little more
tell u what, give me yo number, I'll call you and we can talk some more.
her: naw i cant do that
and the bicth starts to walk away. hell naw
so i pull her back to me
Me: well a least let me get hug before u run off
i hug then i look in her eyes and give her that look like i wanna just fcuk u right now and i kiss her.
her: u still too young but i tell what i got some younger girl friends u can meet. we having a hotel party next weekend. y dont come through. here's my number.

hell yeah

Approach 2:

horrible. I was at the pretzel place the girl at the register is cute. about a hb7.5. so i make i contact, smile and ask her whats the cheapest pretzel i can buy. she points to one and says its 2.19
damn that's alot for a small as pretzel u must gettin paid workin here? naw not really she says. neway u know u look really familiar waht's your name.,i ask. she points to her name tag and says Channel, pronounced Shannel. well it looked like Channel to me, i say. but i pronouned channel like a tv channel. i laugh but she didn't. People used to tease me all the time about that shiit in elementary she said. that's funny because i remember a girl in elementary named channel i said. ( aw fcuk) Wait a mintue what's your name she says. thomas i say. i knew it, u know i used to cry about that shiit when u and your friends used to tease me she said. Naw we was just playing back then, to be honest the only reason i did was because i liked you i said. watever u say, y u over here neway just leave me alone she said and walked into the back room.

what the fcuk happened

hey awesome job on that first approach longwood! you def got balls, kissing her like that. sh!t. although on the second approach...i think making fun of personal things like names isn't really taken well by anyone. still, good job man and welcome to the forum.

good one Shezzler. i can see what you mean when you say to still ask for the phone number after the bf excuse. in your situation, it made sense because she sounded unsure it seems. though, personally, the reason i don't push for the number is because i've gotten numbers from girls with bfs before...and they just end up flaking later...i don't see the point. but i will try to be more humorous about it next time, nonetheless...good tip. nice job.

sorry, i forgot all about the greetings today, although i will try to do them from now on. however, i did have many interactions with various people that i don't know, and chatted/ joked around (like any other day) with those i do know.

did the 3 approaches today.

approach1, hb8 (a real cutie, but shy as hell)

walked out of the library/coffe shop with my iced coffee in hand, and saw her standing there smoking her cig. walked up and said "hey" and smiled. paused, but then asked her name, and told her mine. then we shook hands. she was a bit nervous off the bat and tried putting her hand in her pocket...but her pants were so tight she couldn't fit it, so she blushed, lol. anyway, i smiled a bit more and she got a little relaxed. we just talked about school and stuff...she's a transfer student, etc.

i'm pretty good at reading body language and noticing ioi's...i could tell she wasn't interested. plus, i don't really like shy girls. so when the conversation died down, i didn't attempt to talk and just sort of looked away. i wasn't really looking at her much anyway, though we did make okay eyecontact (for a shy girl).

i think i'm a fairly good looking guy, and since 'cold-approaches' are not too common, especially in everyday places such as school campus, i can understand if some girls would be slightly surprised or intimidated (it's kind of like you said Shezzler, "unexpected"). it's very different when they're at a club expecting to get hit on, so they're not nervous because they know it's coming. anyway this girl was so shy that she was reluctant to leave. she said "it was nice meeting you," and just stood there like she was waiting for permission to leave or something, lol.

approach2, hb8

chinese girl from my lecture. i've never sat next to her, but we've seen each other before, and i've asked her one question before. she was sitting at a table working on hw. i walked up without eyecontact, and just said "hey" and sat down. we talked mostly about hw, and she let me copy her answers. but i count it as an approach because i also asked her name, she asked mine, and we shook hands. also, we held eyecontact briefly and smiled at one another.

though, she is older than me, and for some reason, once i find out a chick is older, i get slightly disinterested. i don't pursue. she was a kind of mature too, sounded like my friend's mom. but still a fine asian chick...anyway, i parted with her, and will see her again. i think we're on friendly terms, but if i ever decide to pursue, the window is now open.

approach3, hb9 (seriously a hottie)

she was sitting at a table in the shade. we made brief eyecontact, and she looked down. i just walked up and said "hey, mind if i sit here?" she said "sure."

i started talking fluff talk, about how hot it is (105+ degrees, btw), and how much nicer it is to sit in the shade...she agreed, and we just started talking about various things. she asked me lots of questions, but i'd say the conversation was pretty balanced.

thing is, my style is more casual. i've found that too many direct approaches and number close attempts can be hurtful to my reputation...unfortunately i know a lot of people around (though that works as pretty good social proof). so, i like to assume rapport and let the girl give me ioi's or give me her info if she's interested...then i'll take it from there if i'm interested.

anyway, we talked for like 10-12 minutes...kind of like a mini-date, because we were both eating lunch anyway. good eyecontact, but pretty serious conversation. she was fiddling with her ear a lot. but too early in the conversation she dropped the bomb and told me she's a grad student...so i wasn't very interested (shame on me).

then my friend calls as we're talking, and he shows up a few minutes later at our table. naturally, i introduce him to her..."this is my friend (name)" and she shakes hands with him and says her name. then she turns to me and says, "btw, i didn't get your name, what's your name?" and i tell her, and extend my hand for a hand shake...and she leans in and holds my hand for like freaking 20 seconds and looks in my eyes the whole time as she's trying to pronounce it. lots of mental and handshake kino on her part as she firmly grips my hand.

i act like nothing happened and continue eating, then ask if she can watch my stuff as i go buy a drink. when i come back with my drink, she's all 'cold' and seems a bit ticked off. damn, is there like a rule that says i have to go for a girl's number when i approach her? hehe, i guess she fell of that pedestal, lol. thing is, she is older...maybe i'm too picky (or maybe it's the years of my parents continually telling me i need to find a girl who's younger than me). idk.

i think she made it pretty obvious, and was ticked off that i 'turned her down'...oh well. later one of her gfs came over and she slowly got up...my friend asked "are you leaving" and she said "yeah...we're going to go get some coffe at xyz coffee shop before class" ah..hahaha...i think even that was a "hint," because she was pretty damn slow to get up...but then just said "it was nice meeting you" and we said our farewells as she slowly walked away. seriously makes me laugh now...at myself, and at her sort of.

ok...i realize i actually do have some fear; i fear what my parents would think if i was screwing around with an older chick (because they almost shun that like it's evil behavior). i need to get over this...i'll probably to talk to my parents about it.

btw...i'll keep my post shorter next time, sorry for wh0ring thread space.

hey Shezzler, thanks for the in-depth analysis. i guess i was a bit impatient on the first approach but i'll try to add more humor next time. i noticed that as i smiled more she somewhat eased up a bit. but still, i'm not into putting that much effort to warming someone up to me...i'll just try more humor next time, like you suggested.

ah...i said i would count the second one as an approach actually...but either way, it's all good.

yeah, third approach, was pretty good. yeah on the handshake, i actually tried initially pulling my hand back, but she held on, lol. and after she just held on, so did i...and she went on with the strong eyecontact too.

i didn't purposely "test" her to watch my stuff...i actually didn't realize that i was "testing" her, although i have done that before on other girls. eh, she just seemed a bit taken back when i got back...as if she was disappointed...then when she said she's going for coffee with her friend...i'd just hate to 'tag-a-long' with a girl...i'd rather lead her, then suggesting we go together or whatever

anyway, i'm starting to think i click a lot better with girls who are slightly older. i just need to face this, get over it, and go for it next time around, once i'm comfortable with this reality.

sorry man, but it was hot as fvcking hell today; 105 degrees...felt like 120. no chicks hot enough to be worthy of approaching at school. so after lunch i headed for the local mall.

i walked in through the crowded foodcourt to see if i could spot any cute chicks, and some girl walking with her toddler siblings, made eyecontact and smiled at me, so i smiled back. she was slightly chubby and around an hb6...so not really worth my time, and i didn't bother stopping. edit: she was probably hb3.5

i got a small bite to eat. most girls there seemed a little too young, probably not even legal age for me.

approach1, hb8 (again cute, but really shy)

i spotted her sitting far away. i noticed she was sitting with her back towards me. i walked by her table slightly, and as i passed i caught her glance, and turned around. she immediately looked down. damn, another shy girl.

ah...i decided to approach anyway.

i opened with "hey, do i know you?" and she replied "ah...no, i don't think so." so i pretended like maybe i do know her and said, "wait, what school do you go to?" and she said "blah blah religious school."

at that point i knew there was no hope of someday screwing her, but i decided to just enjoy the moment and meet a new face.

so we just fluff talked about school and what's she doing at the mall today, etc. she was very very very very religious. shy was a bit shy at first, but got more relaxed, and made eyecontact, smiled, etc. though, again i didn't have much patience, so i got up (i'd sat down with her), and left...just said "it was nice meeting you," and she said "yeah, it was nice meeting you too...hope you have a nice day"

approach2, hb9 (this b!tch was the hottest thing i saw all day)

walking down the main corridor of the mall, i spotted a group of 5 hbs, probably in early to late 20s. from left to right, i'd say they were hb8, hb9, hb(-2...lol), hb7, and hb4. i don't have a problem approaching whatever size set as long as they're not too busy talking with one another.

so, i glanced through the set, to see which one would catch my eye. sure enough, the hb8 and hb9 both caught my eye, and the hb9 smiled at me. i smiled back, and we held eyecontact. i started to slow down as we got closer, and i was like 2 feet from her and asked "do i know you?" and she was like "no...but i just liked to smile at you" and her and her group were still walking their heads all turned back...and i'm walking, my head turned back...and i said "well, i liked your pin (pointing to my left chest)" she was wearing a red pin on her huge breasts that read 'dork.' and she smiled really big, and her friends start giggling...and we were looking at each other all the while, then her friend, hb8 says "well...she's all mine"

so i smirked and we finally were too far apart to continue eyecontact...anyway, damn...she was a lesbian, otherwise i would have had that b!tch...no wonder her friends were giggling. hb(-2) looked like a typical lesbian though...no wonder she was holding hands with hb4...doh.

i attempted to approach this one...but it didn't fall through. oh well, i'll put in more effort tomorrow. i also think i squeezed in about 28 hi's with people who worked in the mall, etc. i can see why it can get you more in the zone.

For now I think I'm goign to do an altered version of this bootcamp up until school starts...my reasoning...simply because i am getting my license the day school starts and it would just be easier for me to drive places then to like walk around my development saying hi lol...but yea whenever i go to the mall or anywhere with my friends i'll make sure to just say hi to everyone i see :)
