She Showers "Every Other Day"...

So, I was talking to a girl I met and was interested in taking her out. I called her up and talked for about 10 minutes, I was about ready to mention something about going out and said I was going to take a shower to go out soon...

And then, it happened.

She asked if I showered everyday, and quite honestly, I said I did twice a day. To me this is perfectly normal because I like to feel clean. I don't know, maybe it's just me.

But it's almost as if this was a joke for her and she responded with this:

"Everyday and twice a day! Wow."

It's almost as if I had disgusted her with this. Confused, I tried to regroup myself with this HB-9 and sincerely asked her how many times she showered every day.

"What? Nah. Every other day. I don't sweat, so I don't think it's necessary."

I laughed, said I had to go, and hung up.

I was turned OFF by this. So badly too.
I kept thinking, I don't want to be the guy who goes down on that salt-trap the day she doesn't take a shower. I mean, just because she doesn't sweat??? All her body juices marinade for over 36 hours?

Am I alone in dismissing a hottie just because of a seeming lack of hygiene? I mean, she was ULTRA serious about it on the phone, which was weird because she looked so cleanly kept when I saw her. But I don't even care if she was joking or not anymore, I now have that image stuck in my head that she doesn't like to take showers just because she doesn't do any extracurricular activity.

OCD? Or justified cause to hang up?
Anyone else have anything remotely similar happen???

Back in Europe where I grew up till I was 19 myself and everyone I knew used to shower once a week and girls still were a lot of fun. Now I shower everyday and can't skip a single one even If I am sick because I like the feeling of clean, but showering once every 2 days is still pretty clean. It's a matter of perspective you see. If you had told me when I was 19 that a girl would shower every 2 days I would be: "why? is she that obsessed with herself?" To you, it's the other way around. If she truly is a 9, you should be able to overlook that. Or...simply take showers with her...which can be fun too.

Seriously, some girls don't sweat or stink that much, so I could see them showering every other day. Showering/bathing every day is a little bit of a cultural expectation of modern western society. I'd still be a little concerned about that genital hygiene though.

To the OP - I would be put off by this too. I don't want to get into the debate of whether it's necessary for health reasons but showering every day is considered good hygiene everywhere I've been.
