She's intelligent, a college graduate with intentions of grad school, good with her money, mature, sharp (in that she'll call your bullsh*t in a heartbeat), good at karate, enjoys the outdoors, somewhat maternal, is a dog person (and definitely not a cat person).
She gets sick about as often as she's healthy, and she just found out that she may have thyroid problems, which may cause additional problems in the future. EVERYONE on one side of her family has thyroid problems and most have had their thyroids removed and have to take daily medication.
If it turns out that she does in fact have a thyroid issue, would you stay with her? Would you break up with her? If you are just going to post to tell me that I have to figure out on my own wether or not it's worth it, spare the post please because I understand that ultimately I have to assess my own feelings on the matter. Until I decide to do that, I'm curious to see if anybody has a strong stance one way or the other.
Most importantly I'm thinking of my future self dealing with the stress of her sickness and perhaps my childrens' sickness if things work out.
We have been going out for three months, and things are going very well. Things are going well enough that I don't see an end in sight, which is better than I can say for any girlfriend I've had in the past.
edit: I'm 21, and she's 24. I'm not anywhere near the end of my personal rope when it comes to dating.
