I was reading some of the book Sex God Method by Daniel Rose, and there was something in there so glaringly illogical I had to post about it. He was talking about dominance, alpha males, and beta males.

He said that at one time there were females who were attracted to alphas, and there were females that were attractive to betas (because they were gentle and providing). Their offspring would share the same traits as their parents. But over time the alphas beat up all the betas and had sex with their women. So eventually the only female offspring were women who liked alphas, and that's why all women want alphas now, and why all women want dominant men.

Because supposedly only the children of the alphas and the alpha loving females survived. But this is clearly not so, because there are a LOT of beta males in the world. Because being alpha vs. being beta are states of mind and attitude. They have more to do with character than anything else. It's not genetic.

I honestly think the Alpha only thinking is a myth. Heard and seen too much contrary evidence. When I act typical Alpha I get no lovin, when I'm just purely me (which is Alpha in it's own way but anything but typical I have to beat them off w/ a stick). I will agree though that dominance and SHOWING sexuality is key key key from very recent and past experience.

Ok, being that i am a member of his site (sexgodmethod.com) and that i have his freaking name in my signature as something i trust - i'll give it a go.

1st - my reading into evolutionary psychology is limited to 2 books (and 10 or so scientific reports) so far. My understanding of the whole alpha male thing is limited (alpha comes from the scientific/evolution community, not the seduction community).

With that said - if you don't believe in evolution - then you really shouldn't believe in an Alpha Male being attractive to women.

Alpha Males are natures way of weeding out the weak. In the animal kingdom - the alpha male is the one who fvcks all the females of the group and protects and leads the pack... The other animals follow him because they want to survive... If one of the non-alpha males of the pack tries to mate with a female of the pack while she's in heat - she will NOT HAVE IT! She will fight to the death with him if needed; she ONLY WANTS THE ALPHA MALES SEED IN HER.... The perception is that this occurs because she's trying to get the strongest babies possible! Now, she may have 4-5 babies by him, and guess what? Maybe none of them grow up to be the leader of the pack or alpha.... Maybe they die sad weak virgins!... But that doesn't really matter, that's nature at work.... That's variance...

In the same way that a champion race horse becomes a horse for breeding after it's time on the track is done.... Sometimes, it'll make 30-50 babies in it's time and NONE of them end up being champions... Other times, it'll make that same number and over half will end up being champions!... That's nature at work... And what nature does sometimes is even more amazing... A horse that may not come from any line of known champion horses may emerge as one of the greatest of all time!


By pure logic - you have to understand that the weak of a species was killed off by nature to allow that species to survive. The weak/unintelligent men of 50,000+ years ago were killed off by creatures of the night/ice while the strong/intelligent ones survived....

This process continues and continues.... Back then, it was easy to pick out who the alpha males were though... They were the best fighters, the ones who learned about fire, the ones who figured out they should hunt in packs, etc. The ones who couldn't figure this stuff out - died and have no history books remembering them.... We are all children of alphas ... Maybe not our dads, or our dads dad - but it's very hard for a family name to survive without alphas all over the family tree...

It's not that simple anymore (as we've become more civilized) BUT, it still comes down to women wanting the highest quality sperm for their children... For, the survival of the species.... WHICH has become the dominant species on this planet (thanks, perhaps to nature destroying dinosaurs).

So, i'd say - our species has done a good job of sticking to the "survival of the fittest" formula..... In fact, perhaps we're growing too fast as a species, and are TOO ALPHA... *shrugs*....

But to answer your question with a simple answer: Why isn't everyone alpha then? Well, because of a human species adaption by-product named.... society.

I believe other than those born with physical/mental ailments - most men are born alphas.... Reading Pook made me realize this more.... When you're a child in your 3-8 age range - you act pretty alpha, without ever coming on so suave..... Than the world around you begins to change you.... Modern society changes men into feminist.... And i think it'll just get worse from here!

I don't think it's coincidence that most guys who commit to recapturing their manhood - are able to do it sometimes within months! This is because it's there all along, you just have to overcome your social conditioning.

It makes perfect sense in less than 3 sentences.

Study biology. If an alpha (AA) and a beta (bb) mate, there's a likelihood that both male and females will still have beta genes in addition to their alpha genes (Ab), even if they're recessive . A beta male would then be a double-recessive trait (bb), pure and simple. Literally, the bytch in you.

Following, a pure-bred-beta (bb) and purebred alpha (AA) would be the rare occurences and unable to change their ways. Interestingly, the majority of men would be Ab, suggesting that for the majority of men (AA Ab bA) being alpha is part of who they are, and they simply need to figure out how to turn it on inside themselves.

What doesn't make sense would be the inverse ratio of beta males to alpha males. If Alpha males became the dominant characteristic, there would be more alpha males than beta males and not the other way around. I think this is explained by the structures of war, western civilization and many resulting judicial systems. War kills alphas. Betas benefit more from rules and bureaucracy and make the laws that incarcerate many alphas.

If you revived all the soldiers, took the workplace back to the days of Mad Men, and freed all the men in jail, my money is on the fact that the world would be flooded with alphas.....although not necessarily the DJ or ones we'd want to see.

I've seen this particular book recommended by a lot of posters here, so I thought I would check it out. Guys have said that it helped with their general mindset toward women, not just with sex. I've read a bit of it now, and I can see how that is true, even though I haven't really read anything new in there yet, aside from the way he structures it (four fundamental principles). I can definitely see how his writings on dominance can affect the whole way you view women.

I read that post of Pook's. I already posted in that thread why I believe that to be BS, look it up if you like. I don't believe kids are inheritently alpha ages 3-8. No way. Some are, some aren't. I wasn't. I suppose that if you grew up and you were, you can't imagine life being any different.

Exactly what I feel I am going through at the moment in my own life never have I felt so chumped and beta toward women in my life due to life changing events but I will survive cause I have noticed I've been graping my sack more lately.

I don't think this is directed at me, but just to clarify: I agree this is a very good book, I would recommend it to anyone. And as noted before, I think it has a positive effect on your mindset as well.

I just thought the part about the alphas and the betas made no sense.
If the alphas had sex with the beta-loving women, how does their female offspring become an alpha-loving woman? Isn't she still the offspring of a beta-loving woman?

I was watching a TV show about bears, and there was a big alpha bear guarding a creek that had a lot of fish in it. He would fight off any bear that showed up. At some point though, he had to sleep, and while he dozed off, like you say, other bears snuck in and stole the fish. They may have feared him, but they didn't respect him.

None of you seem to understand what makes an alpha male changes with society. If you are bigger and stronger than every man in a bar-are you alpha? Then a gorilla is more alpha than you are. When we relied on clubs,the bigger faster men were alpha. When some brainiac invented a sharp point and stuck it on a stick[inventing the spear,bow and arrow etc] THEN the better shot with the bow would be the best hunter-more likely to be able to feed his kids.
