Okay well I've known this girl, Stacy, for years and I've known that she's had a crush on me for years as well. Anyway I hooked up with her on the first Friday of term and everything went great for about 3 weeks after that. For the first 2 weeks she was the one doing all the contacting. Then on the 3rd week it kinda seemed to fall apart.
I asked her to join me to have sundowners with friends on the Sunday of the 3rd week and she gave me the, "I can't because I have too much work" excuse, and she didn't bother rescheduling. So I thought, oh **** she's gonna LJBF me if I push anymore, and so I cut contact with her.
My best friend (who had then been going out with Stacy's best friend for like 2 years) told me that Stacy was pretty crazy about me before going on dates. I asked him about the last Saturday that I was with her and he said that his girlfriend (her best friend) was kinda pissed at Stacy because she wanted a girls night out with her, but Stacy instead came and chilled with me. Now here's where I'm confused. Like I said, her best friend is dating my best friend (or was), but they broke up that week after Stacy ditched my date offer (NOT because of, after, just incase that sentence sounded ambiguous). Since the 4 of us were so close, could this impending breakup have also contributed to her dropping the date and us not making contact anymore?
I saw her at a friends digs warming party 2 weeks later and we seemed to have a really good time together just talking **** and messing around (but no kissing). From her body language it seemed like she was still interested. I didn't wanna push anything though in fear of the LJBF card coming out.
So what do you guys think? I was thinking of breaking contact until the start of next term to kinda start things anew (a month from now). I know this is serious oneitis but I feel like we can still work something out.
