Started taking a beet root supplement recently. Noticed the effects on day two. 2 hours after taking the 2 capsules as directed. I felt a slight tingle through out the body. Had a good upper body workout. Didn't notice increase of pump or energy yet. There was very little muscle soreness post workout.

Noticed effects in the loins. Increased blood flow and intensity. Seems I respond well to beet root. Worried about kidney stones/gall stones from prolonged use. Would like to use it daily as it seems to kick in nicely. I plan on saving it for strategic uses.

Does anyone have experience with Beet Root, Maca, Ashwaganda, Ginseng, Deer Antler, etc? Please share your results with regards to exercise, strength, recovery, cognition, libido, EQ, etc.

Just take Betaine instead, 2g prior to workout...can get it in the form of a powder. Essentially it's the extract of the active ingredient in the Beet Root.

Name a supplement, and I've taken it.

95% of them don't do anything, but the 5% that do work, work.

If you are only asking about herbal supplements specifically, most of them don't do anything, but there are a few legitimate ones. I did try beet root powder; someone gave me some as a gift once, and it felt similar to citrulline/arginine, useful for workouts but nothing too significant. Ashwagandha was very beneificial for me, specifically stress reduction, and it's of the most well-researched and effective herbal supplements out there.

Only other herbal supplements that I've found useful was kava/kanna for mood enhancement & anxiety reduction, St Johns Wort for depression, and Fadogia Agrestis/Tongkat Ali for testosterone.

Btw there's no such thing as EQ.
