I can't speak for the others here, but I don't go to the gym for anyone but myself-especially now that I am older. I have been in a happy relationship for 5 years now. In fact I have been in LTR's since I was 20 or so, very rarely am I single for very long. I could lay on the couch and do nothing if I wanted while in those LTR's, but that isnt my thing. In fact my fiance goes to the gym with me 5 days a week and does every squat, every deadlift, every bench press, every skullcrusher, every incline BP press, every pendlay row, every leg press, every hack squat, every exercise I do....right along with me. And we lift for a good 1.5 hours a day. And she is a little 115 pound Asian. We do it because we like to do it, and like to see the results it gives us. Plus it is a great thing to do together.Ronaldo7 said:When you talk about the gym, you people talk of going there because women appreciate this and that.
People, who talked about the gym in this thread, are all a complete joke.
What ever happened to going to the gym as a hobby or a passion? Why do you rig yourself to do things to please other people and what THEY like? The gym provides you with so many valuable qualities to aid you through your daily life and the only reason you adhere to it is because "women like it". Nowadays, people don't have personalities anymore. Everyone is a copy of each other.... so sad.
At this point you probably have a woman (or multiple women) chasing you around, calling you all the time, wanting to be with you. So let's talk about how to KEEP a woman interested in you once you have her. This is BIG! There is nothing worse than getting dumped by a woman that you really, really like.
Quote taken from The SoSuave Guide to Women and Dating, which you can read for FREE.
Yep that's the only reason I'd go. Not trying to knock your hobby but I'd rather do other things than eat every five seconds and spend multiple hours a week exercising. I want women. By becoming more attractive to them it makes it easier to acquire them. When you look at it like that yes I'm am doing it for me. The fact that it pleases others is a bonus.Ronaldo7 said:When you talk about the gym, you people talk of going there because women appreciate this and that.

Do you have any experience with gaining without using weights? I know that's the fastest way to gain but I can't be bothered to pay for a gym membership. I've been doing body weight exercises but I know that'll probably take forever to get any meaningful results. Also I think many men trying to get big underestimate the benefits of improving posture. With improved posture a man's shoulders can become broader, height increased, more attractive walk, and a host of other benefits. Its not enough to just mentally decide that you wanna walk taller though. The body must be reprogrammed to improve posture through certain exercises. If some of you guys want a good lifting program to follow, I highly rec this one. It concentrates heavily on hypertrophy. I have only been doing this specific program for a month now (been lifting for years) and already my incline dumbbell press has gone up 30 pounds to 100 each arm, and my flat dumbbell press has gone up 35 pounds to 115 each arm. Legs and almost every lift has gone up as well.

Great to hear. You are very lucky you found a girl that shares your same passion. That is uncommon to find. You two can feed off each other's drive and energy. Never letting each other move away from your joint objective.cordoncordon said:I can't speak for the others here, but I don't go to the gym for anyone but myself-especially now that I am older. That being said, the reason I brought up aesthetics and how lifting can help with that, which in turn will help with the girls, is because 90% of the guys on this website are here for a very big reason....to be better with the opposite sex.
