Philadelphia and the Super Bowl, worth checking out, or a likely clusterf***?

The best weekend to support the Eagles was last weekend, when they played against the Commanders in Philadelphia.
The Superbowl is in New Orleans this year.

I wouldn't recommend going out to bars for the Superbowl because most places will be half empty.
The Superbowl is basically another version of Thanksgiving.
For some reason people usually watch it at home with their family or with a group of friends.

I went to a popular bar when there was the Paul v Tyson fight going on. It was a bunch of guys that were all standing in the way, huddled around watching whatever TVs were available,

You likely missed out on some drunken azzholes going wild over a bunch of highly paid people who can throw, catch, and kick a ball.

I doubt that there were a lot of instances of first time sex because the Eagles won the game. If people got laid after the Super Bowl, it was more in established couples.

There's been some inconclusive data over time about more babies being born 9-10 months after a Super Bowl win in the region of the team that won the big game.

Delaware has Trolley Square for the people that graduated college, and Dewey Beach for the summer.

Philadelphia overshadows Wilmington, where he lives.

New Castle County in Delaware has a population of over 500,000. That's a sufficient population for dating purposes in many cases. The problem with that ~500,000 population is that it is so close to the more populated Central Philadelphia area. Areas near Downtown Philadelphia are going to attract the most singles in the area. The people in New Castle County are less likely to be people looking for new sexual partners.

If that 500,000 population were further from a major metro, it would be better for dating as it would probably standalone as a semi-sizable metro area.

An example of this closer to my area is Collin County in the Dallas area. The Collin County suburbs of Dallas have a ~1 million population. However, dating in Collin County is more challenging because it is more of families and non-singles. The singles tend to go to the city of Dallas. There are some bars in Collin County cities like Plano (similar to what @BPH describes with Trolley Square) but it's not the same as the big city.

The girl who owned the condo putting my girlfriend and I up asked us to jump into bed with her after a long day of summer beer bongs. OCMD is a special place. I hope you still go there during spring fling.

OCMD's a great time. That's where my family has a timeshare and where I initially learned to cold approach during our vacation for the week. Nowadays when we go I'll get my own room at that hotel/the hotel next door so I can bring girls back and drink without infringing on their time.

Not sure when you've last visited but it's definitely taken a hit since COVID. There used to be a daily bar rotation where you could go to a good spot each day of the week - now the Sunday spot is closed and the Thursday spot is empty. Plim Plaza is a nice little hotel on the boardwalk we would go to drink out at the pool during the day and we liked it because there were a lot of cute girls, waitresses included - now there's nothing to look at.

Seacrets is still a good time but I may just have to find better spots for young singles as opposed to old families.
